Introduction to Paradox Pokemon
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet introduced Paradox creatures, either ancient or future versions of existing Pokemon. These Paradox Pokemon boast different names, types, and abilities than their traditional counterparts, offering players with new pocket monsters to collect and additional ways of composing their team to battle against other trainers.
To collect all the Paradox Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, players need to complete the main story and gain access to the Great Crater of Paldea. Since ancient Paradox forms are exclusive to the Scarlet version and the futuristic Paradox creatures are only available in Violet, catching them all requires trading with another player who owns a different version of the latest Pokemon games.

The Paradox Versions of Miraidon and Koraidon
A creative Pokemon Scarlet and Violet fan known as EliteRobo04 on Reddit shared their latest original artwork, depicting Paradox forms of the legendary creatures Miraidon and Koraidon. While both of these legendary Pokemon are already Paradox forms of Cyclizar, the artist explained that there could be various Paradox versions of Pokemon existing simultaneously in different timelines.
The Paradox version of Miraidon, named Serpent Wing, comes with the signature ability of Koraidon, Orichalcum Pulse. Similarly, the Paradox form of Koraidon, Iron King, has the same signature ability as Miraidon, Hadron Engine. This further accentuates the similarities between the Paradox duo of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet and the variations they could have in different timelines.
Fan Creations and Speculations
In the comments section of the Reddit post, other fans found the concept interesting and wondered whether alternative Paradox forms of existing creatures could ever be released in an official Pokemon game. They especially enjoyed the idea of a time machine connecting alternative universes together, with more variations of known Pokemon.
Ever since the release of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet in 2022, creative fans have been creating their own Paradox versions of various pocket monsters. Recently, a talented fan designed a future Paradox form for Gen 6 Pokemon Heliolisk, while another imagined Paradox Pokemon inspired by the fusion of Virizion, Terrakion, and Cobalion. As all existing Pokemon don’t have an official Paradox form, artists keep on suggesting new ideas for Paradox versions of their favorite pocket monsters.
