After making several attempts in both small and big screen roles, Kardashian finally received recognition for her performance as Siobhan Corbyn in American Horror Story season 12, a project supported by Salma Hayek. On an episode of Hulu’s The Kardashians in November 2023, the Skims founder reminisced about a conversation she had with Hayek following the news of her AHS casting.
In her recollection, Kardashian shared, "She said, ‘Do not feel bad. Maybe this whole journey has led you here because you are meant to be an actress and this is your true calling.’ And I thought, ‘You're right, Salma Hayek.’ Then I asked her, ‘Can we play sisters in something? Because you are my idol.’"

In the 2008 parody film, Kardashian portrayed the character of Lisa, who meets her demise at the hands of a meteor shortly after a faux Hannah Montana suffers the same fate. "Oh my God, Hannah Montana is dead!" Lisa cries out.
‘Deep in the Valley’
During the 2009 surf show, she portrayed Elle in four episodes that were aired on The N. However, what stood out more to fans was Kardashian's skillful evasion of her co-star Michael Copon's attempts to kiss her during his cameo on Kim & Kourtney Take New York.
Kardashian starred in the 2009 film, alongside Chris Pratt and Denise Richards. The plot revolves around "A mysterious video booth transports two friends to an alternate reality straight out of a pornographic film."
‘CSI: NY’
During the sixth season of the crime drama, she took on the role of Debbie Fallon. In the star-studded episode "Second Chances," members of Kardashian’s friend group appeared as she and Vanessa Lachey portrayed a serial killer duo. La La Anthony also made an appearance in the episode as Lisa Williams, with Lachey’s character assuming her identity.

During season 4 of the Lifetime series in 2012, she had a four-episode role as relationship guru Nikki LePree. Just months after announcing her divorce from Kris Humphries in October 2011, she gave romantic advice to characters in the show.
Kardashian portrayed the character of Ava in the 2013 Tyler Perry movie, alongside Vanessa Williams. Despite not being a stylist in real life, Kardashian's character gives her coworker Judith (Jurnee Smollett-Bell) a stunning makeover in the film.

In the 2023 sequel, she returned to play Delores, alongside her eldest daughter, North West, who portrayed Mini the Pomeranian. Additionally, her eldest son, Saint West, had a role in the film as Meteor Max.
