What happens when you wish upon a star? According to Disney’s latest film, Wish, absolute chaos ensues. But does the movie have a post-credits scene? Here’s everything you need to know.

The official synopsis of Wish reads: “Young Asha makes a wish so powerful that it’s answered by a cosmic force, a little ball of boundless energy called Star. With Star’s help, Asha must save her kingdom from King Magnifico and prove that when the will of one courageous human connects with the magic of the stars, wondrous things can happen.”

After its North American theatrical release, there is uncertainty about the effectiveness of Disney's latest movie, with our review labeling Wish as "half baked." The film is packed with catchy songs and adorable animal characters, but the lingering question is whether there is a post-credits scene in Disney's Wish. Warning: Spoilers ahead!

Is there a post-credits scene in Disney’s Wish?

Yes, Disney’s Wish has a post-credits scene – but you’ll need to watch all of the ending credits to see it.

The post-credits scene of Wish brings us back to where it all started, with a nod to the iconic theme that accompanies the Disney ident of fireworks over Cinderella’s castle.

Throughout the film, viewers discover that Asha’s 100-year-old grandfather, Sabino (played by Victor Garber), had made a wish to King Magnifico (played by Chris Pine) in the hope of it one day being granted, only to realize that the King has no intention of fulfilling his wish.

Asha (played by Ariana DeBose) goes to great lengths to try to retrieve the wish in order to give her grandfather the opportunity to pursue his dreams on his own. It is during this time that she learns of Sabino’s dream to do something that would inspire the next generation, illustrated by an image of him playing a lute with perfection.

Skip to the post-credits scene in Wish, and it appears that Sabino may finally have his opportunity.

Standing by the lake in the kingdom of Rosas, Sabino plays around with some chords as he practices. Suddenly, he seems to have a breakthrough, leading to a simple version of When You Wish Upon A Star. This iconic song was first heard in the 1940 film Pinocchio, performed by Jiminy Cricket (Cliff Edwards).

Based on Disney timelines, this new scene could imply that Sabino was actually the creator of the song, adding a fresh interpretation to the numerous studio Easter eggs found in Wish.
