A Genshin Impact player compared the size of Fontaine City to other key locations in the game, revealing that it is one of the largest cities in Teyvat.
The video reveals that Fontaine City surpasses the size of cities such as Mondstadt and Liyue Harbor, and is comparable in size to Inazuma City. Despite not capturing the city's verticality, the video showcases that exploring Fontaine City will undoubtedly require more time compared to other regions in the game.
A Genshin Impact player has created a video comparing the size of Fontaine City with other significant locations. Teyvat, the vast world in Genshin Impact, offers numerous expansive areas to explore, and Fontaine City is one of the largest among them.
Mondstadt is the first city that players will encounter in Genshin Impact, hosting various quests, vendors, and puzzles. As the game has evolved, additional cities such as Sumeru and Inazuma have been introduced. Update 4.0 brought the Fontaine region and its city to Genshin Impact, where it plays a crucial role in the Archon quests. Furthermore, players can engage with new characters and witness live performances at the Opera Epiclese in Fontaine City. Given that it is the newest addition to the game's cities, some players are now comparing it to the others.
Reddit user Tawxif_iq recently shared a video on Genshin Impact, comparing the size of Fontaine City to other locations such as Liyue Harbor, Mondstadt, Sumeru, and Inazuma. The video showcases each city, with a flickering visual overlap of Fontaine emphasizing its larger size. Due to Fontaine City's focus on verticality, it may be even more substantial than the already smaller locations. Hovering over Liyue Harbor, Fontaine City engulfs Mount Tianheng and the entire island of Mondstadt, along with surrounding water and additional landmass. Sumeru City, combined with the Yazadaha Pool and Chinvat Ravine, is nearly as expansive as Fontaine, with the overlap only reaching Gandha Hill.
Tawxif_iq's Genshin Impact clip suggests a fitting comparison between Fontaine and Inazuma cities, as they share similar size and shape. Inazuma City was introduced in update 2.0, surpassing locations like Mondstadt and proving worthy alongside Fontaine. The video concludes with Fontaine engulfing all of Inazuma City and parts of the ocean, without including nearby landmarks like the Byakko Plain or Amakane Island. With Genshin Impact continuously expanding its cities, future updates may bring even larger metropolises to the map.
Tawxif_iq's video on Genshin Impact provides players with a visual representation of the vastness of each city in the game. However, the Fontaine City overlay in the video fails to adequately depict the verticality of the new location, which diminishes its true scale. In comparison to Liyue Harbor, Mondstadt, and Sumeru, Fontaine City appears significantly larger and may require more time to fully explore. Genshin Impact can be played on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5, with a Switch version currently in progress.
