Jessica Lowe & Lennon Parham Talk Minx Season 2

Screen Rant: Listen, I was devastated when the show was canceled. I'm so glad that it's back. What was it like for you both? It must have felt like a roller coaster.

Lennon Parham expressed her belief in their show's creator and leader, Ellen Rapoport, stating that she was proactive and optimistic in handling the cancellation and withdrawal from the network. Parham mentioned that despite still filming at the time, she felt confident that they would find a new platform, especially considering their show's recognition on various "best of" and year-end lists. She emphasized the unfairness of their hard work going unseen by fans and expressed their excitement over the show finding a new home.

Screen Rant: Definitely. I find it fascinating how both your characters have undergone significant transformations since their initial appearances. Could you elaborate on these character developments?

Jessica Lowe: Absolutely. Lennon's journey is nothing short of a miracle. Her growth and progression from her humble beginnings are truly remarkable. And the credit goes entirely to Lennon for portraying it flawlessly.

Lennon Parham: The writing is fantastic. In the beginning, you witness her as a typical housewife from Pasadena, thrilled about her sister's chance and encouraging her to pursue it. As the story progresses, she becomes more engaged with the magazine and has a fulfilling experience.

Jessica Lowe: Eventually, she finds herself falling in love.

Bambi also begins to discover her true value. Could you discuss that?

Jessica Lowe is starting to navigate her way at Bottom Dollar, slowly immersing herself in the corporate world. However, it is during a profound moment with Shelly that she realizes her desire for companionship, a family, and a sense of belonging. What I admire is how she stands up for herself, even when the person she loves expresses their disapproval of her treatment and acknowledges her own emotions.

Bambi is often underestimated by others, but she displays glimpses of intelligence and adaptability throughout both seasons. Lennon Parham believes that Jessica's multifaceted character is influencing Bambi in a positive way. Despite possibly underestimating herself, Bambi realizes that she doesn't want to conform to societal expectations.
