Jenelle Evans is criticizing the police after her husband, David Eason, reportedly faced charges of child abuse against her son Jace. In an Instagram Story on Tuesday, October 24, the 31-year-old Teen Mom 2 alum claimed that the police investigation was one-sided and lacked any interviews or information from the parents. She expressed her belief that this situation was biased, similar to previous experiences, and stated that she no longer trusted anyone around her and would be taking a break from social media.

Eason, 35, faced a misdemeanor charge shortly after Barbara Evans, Jenelle's mother, reported in a police document that Jace, 14, had confessed to running away from home for the third time in two months, claiming he was hiding from Eason. In September, Jenelle reported Jace missing when he vanished from their North Carolina residence. Authorities reached out to Barbara after Jenelle expressed her belief that her mother was concealing Jace, even though he was not present at her place.

According to the police report, Barbara stated that she had conversed with Jace earlier that evening when he called from an unidentified number. He informed her about being attacked by David Eason and fleeing, choosing to hide. However, due to the continuous legal and custody matters, Barbara claimed that she was compelled to decline her grandson's plea for her to pick him up.

Two days following his disappearance report, Jace was located and allegedly transported to a hospital. Shortly thereafter, Jenelle discussed her son's vanishing in a TikTok video.

"I am currently seeking privacy for myself and my family. Thankfully, Jace has been located and is safe," she expressed. "Right now, my focus is on distancing myself from any unnecessary drama. I would like to return to creating regular content, and if I choose not to address certain issues, I kindly request that you refrain from pressuring me about it. Thank you."

Later, Jenelle denied allegations that Jace's recent disappearance was a result of Eason's alleged abuse. "This situation has nothing to do with David, regardless of whether you choose to blame him or not," she conveyed through X (formerly Twitter). "Lately, my mother has been spreading a lot of falsehoods about me to everyone, yet she wanted me to have custody? Just imagine what you are not hearing from my perspective."

In March, it was revealed that Jenelle had been granted custody of Jace, despite him having been primarily cared for by her mother Barbara until then. Jenelle stated that she and her mother agreed to this decision in order to rebuild their relationship as mother and daughter. They believed it was time for Jace to be with his siblings and have a mother and father figure in his life. Jenelle's mother had witnessed David's parenting and trusted their ability to handle the responsibilities. The ultimate goal was to create a harmonious environment for the children and work towards strengthening the bond between Jenelle and her mother.

Jenelle and Eason got married in 2017 and they have a daughter named Ensley, who is 6 years old. Jenelle also has a son named Kaiser, who is 9 years old, from a previous relationship with Nathan Griffith. In October 2018, Jenelle accused Eason of physically abusing her, although no charges were ever filed. In May 2019, their children were temporarily taken away from them after Eason shot and killed their dog. Despite initially splitting up and Jenelle announcing her plans to file for divorce in October 2019, she and Eason ultimately reconciled.
