A recent leak for Genshin Impact has provided new details about an upcoming character named Wriothesley, who is expected to be introduced in future updates. In recent months, various leaks have been circulating, teasing the exciting new content that will be included in the upcoming major region, Fontaine.

During the game's latest Special Program live stream event, an intriguing teaser was revealed. It showcased one of the main characters, Aether, engaging in underwater exploration. This revelation has generated much excitement among Genshin Impact players, as diving will be introduced as a new gameplay mechanic. Given that a significant portion of the world of Teyvat is water-covered, this addition is highly anticipated.

A forthcoming character named Wriothesley is set to join Genshin Impact's playable roster in the second or third Fontaine update. The concept art for Wriothesley, recently unveiled by a renowned Genshin Impact leaker, showcases a design that bears striking similarities to Sampo, a character from Honkai: Star Rail. It appears that Genshin Impact continues to draw inspiration from Honkai, the second most popular franchise in the HoYoverse.

Fans have been speculating about Wriothesley's element, with previous leaks suggesting that he may be a Cryo character. However, there is no reliable information yet about his weapon type. Some fans believe that based on his design, he could potentially have a Pyro vision. In addition, credible sources have hinted that Wriothesley may be added to the Standard Banner once his Limited Character Banner ends, which is consistent with how previous characters were introduced. As for his release date, players don't anticipate seeing him in version 4.0, as leaked information indicates that the highly anticipated Lyney will be the only new five-star character in that update.
