Following several years, the Roger Pirates successfully reached Laugh Tale and beheld the fabled One Piece treasure. Eventually, the crew disbanded, and Roger voluntarily surrendered to the Marines. The news of his impending execution in Rogue Town, located in the East Blue, was made public.
Garp, depicted in One Piece Episode 0, clashed with the furious Shiki at Marineford. Together with Sengoku, they overpower and defeat the formidable opponent, who proved no match for their combined strength. Merely a week later, the execution of Roger took place.
After his death, he disclosed that the coveted One Piece treasure remained attainable for whoever could locate it. Roger's words sparked a surge of adventurers embarking on the quest for the treasure, heralding the commencement of the illustrious Age of Piracy.
