Mauricio Umansky was so engrossed in perfecting his latest routine on Dancing With the Stars that he purposely abstained from watching the season 13 trailer of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, making a conscious effort to steer clear of the three-minute supertease.
"I haven't watched it," the 53-year-old Buying Beverly Hills star exclusively told We after his second performance on DWTS on Tuesday, October 3. Umansky mentioned that he plans to watch it to stay in the loop and know what everyone is discussing, but up until now, he purposely avoided watching it.
The trailer for the Bravo series' upcoming season, which was also released on Tuesday, focused on Umansky and his wife Kyle Richards' marriage, along with rumors of infidelity.
"We are currently navigating the challenges within our life and marriage, and we have not given up," Umansky informed Us. "We are actively working on it, even though it is difficult, especially with the added pressure of being in the public eye and the constant inquiries. The truth is, when a couple is going through the kind of difficulties we are experiencing at the moment, what they truly need is time."
The real estate tycoon emphasized that despite their relationship struggles, Richards, aged 54, remains his "best friend." "We have been married for 27 years, and she has been my lifelong companion," he added. "We have shared many years together, which come with their fair share of challenges, and we are currently in the process of determining whether we will spend the rest of our lives together or not. This is the transition we are currently facing and working through."
Umansky and Richards are uncertain about the future of their marriage, stating that they are unaware of what it will entail. Despite their separation, the couple has been seen together at numerous events alongside their four children, including their daughters Alexia, Sophia, and Portia, as well as Richards' stepdaughter Farrah.
Umansky expressed gratitude for the immense support he received from Richards, their friends and family members, as they enthusiastically cheered for him and his dance partner Emma Slater during the DWTS season 32 premiere on September 26. Speaking highly of his family, Umansky shared that they have been his biggest pillars of support, engaging in nightly discussions and offering unwavering encouragement.

Although Richards is known for her impressive ability to perform the splits, she did not inherit this talent. Umansky humorously admits, "I cannot do the split. I have no intention of attempting it. While I do possess some level of flexibility, I am nowhere near close to achieving the splits."
