An exciting new leak regarding Genshin Impact has surfaced, providing fans with more details on the highly anticipated character, Lyney. Fans have been eagerly awaiting Lyney's arrival since he was first introduced in the game's initial story teaser.
The latest leak confirms that Lyney will be making his debut in the upcoming Fontaine region, set to be released in Genshin Impact update 4.0. According to HoYoverse's update schedule, players can anticipate the release of version 4.0 around mid-August, after the second banner cycle of 3.8 comes to a close.
Currently, Genshin Impact characters are limited to using one of five weapon types. However, each newly released five-star character is paired with a signature weapon that complements their unique playstyle. For instance, Baizhu, a Dendro character, was introduced with the Primordial Jade Regalia catalyst during the second banner phase of Genshin Impact update 3.6. Recently, a Genshin Impact leaker by the name of vississ01 has leaked information about an upcoming weapon that will be released alongside the new five-star character, Lyney. The weapon boasts impressive stats, including a maximum base attack of 674, a secondary stat of crit damage, and a maximum value of 44.1%. As a five-star rarity weapon, it also comes with a passive effect that increases Pyro damage, Elemental Mastery, and Charged Attack damage.
The passive effect of the weapon makes it an excellent choice for Yoimiya and Amber, who are the only two Pyro bow characters available in the game. Yoimiya, one of the most powerful Pyro characters in Genshin Impact, can currently be found on the Limited Character Banner alongside Yae Miko, an Electro user. Although there were rumors that Lyney would appear on the Standard Banner, recent leaks revealed that he would be a limited five-star character. He is expected to have a damage output similar to Ganyu or Tignari in terms of DPS power.
With the upcoming release of version 4.0, it seems that HoYoverse will be introducing a new character named Lyney, who is expected to be a five-star character. Additionally, rumors suggest that her sister Lynette will also be joining the game as a four-star character on the same banner. As for Lyney's playstyle, she is anticipated to be an Anemo support character who wields a sword as her primary weapon. Genshin Impact can be played on various platforms, including Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5, with a Switch version currently in the works.
