Pokemon GO recently revealed an exciting new event featuring the return of a Legendary Pokemon and a unique gameplay mechanic. As avid players know, catching a diverse range of Pokemon is crucial to mastering Niantic's popular mobile game. However, to truly excel, it's important to understand the various game mechanics that impact which Pokemon are available to catch.
One such mechanic is biomes, which dictate the types of Pokemon that are more likely to spawn in specific areas and can result in region-exclusive Pokemon. Additionally, weather conditions play a significant role in determining which Pokemon are visible to players, with certain types of Pokemon appearing more frequently during certain weather conditions. It's worth noting that weather conditions can also enhance the moves of captured Pokemon, providing an added element of strategy to the game.
Pokemon GO has unveiled the Solstice Horizons event, running from June 16 at 10 am to June 25 at 10 pm local time. The event features a day and night cycle that dictates the availability of certain Pokemon; Drifloon, Leydba, and Purrloin will appear during the day, while Spinarak, Phantump, and Oddish will come out at night. Additionally, players can earn a free Special Research reward that includes a chance to encounter the Legendary Pokemon Cosmog, who is returning to the game after making its debut in Pokemon GO last year.
