New details have emerged about the law enforcement system in the upcoming Fontaine region of Genshin Impact, thanks to a recent leak. While HoYoverse has yet to confirm the addition of this region, fans speculate that the recent teaser at the end of Special Program 3.7, which features Aether using a mechanic not currently available in-game, is the first hint at Fontaine's arrival. As the Hydro nation, Fontaine promises to introduce a fresh cast of playable characters and inject new excitement into the game's main storyline, now that the Sumeru arc is wrapping up.
According to in-game NPCs, the people of Fontaine prioritize justice and technology above all else, which is exemplified by the Hydro Archon Focalors being known as the God of Justice in Teyvat. HutaoLover77, a popular Genshin Impact leaker, has leaked information about the upcoming Police Department in Fontaine, which may draw inspiration from groups like the Royal Irish Constabulary and the French Republican Guard. Additionally, rumors suggest that there is a large underground prison located beneath the city of Fontaine, piquing the excitement of many fans who are eager to see the city's unique design. The first beta for this region featured a city model attached to a vertical platform and surrounded by numerous waterfalls.
Wriothesley, one of the characters working at the establishment, has been at the center of several rumors lately. A Genshin Impact leak has disclosed his in-game appearance, revealing that he will most likely be a tall male model. While some leaks suggest that he will be a Cryo user, his color palette suggests that he could also be a new Pyro user, according to fans.
Wriothesley is predicted to be a five-star character but is unlikely to appear in the first Fontaine update. Credible sources have confirmed that version 4.0 of Genshin Impact will introduce three new characters, including two four-star units and a highly anticipated five-star character called Lyney, who was featured in one of the game's earliest teasers.
Genshin Impact is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5, and a Switch port is also in development.
