Exclusive Genshin Impact Leak Unveils Game-Changing Surprises in Upcoming Gacha Banners!

A recent leak for Genshin Impact has revealed a significant change in the release schedule for five-star characters in HoYoverse's upcoming Fontaine update cycle. The addition of new five-star characters to the HoYoverse RPG has always been highly anticipated by fans and has often been a major highlight of each new update. Characters like Raiden Shogun and Nahida have even set records in terms of revenue generated, bringing in millions of dollars for the developer in China alone. However, it seems that HoYoverse is now altering its approach to releasing these highly sought-after characters with the debut of Fontaine.

As we draw closer to the release of Genshin Impact's new region, Fontaine, HoYoverse has already begun teasing the introduction of several new characters. Version 1.1 has confirmed three new additions to the game's roster, with Lyney being the sole five-star character accompanied by Lynette and Freminet as four-star characters. Official trailers have also hinted at the arrival of other Fontaine characters, including Hydro Archon Furina and a new playable character from the Fatui Harbinger. Recent leaks suggest that these new characters will be accompanied by a significant change in the release of five-star characters.

A recent update from renowned Genshin Impact leaker Tao, shared by leaker Uncle A, has unveiled a noteworthy alteration in Fontaine's five-star character release strategy. According to the post, Fontaine will now only introduce a single update throughout its lifespan that does not include a new five-star character. This marks a significant departure from previous updates, as future Fontaine patches after Furina's release are expected to feature no more than one new five-star character. This adjustment deviates from the pattern observed in Genshin Impact's earlier regions, such as Inazuma and Sumeru, where character releases were predominantly concentrated at the beginning.

HoYoverse's new plans for five-star characters have been confirmed, along with the leak revealing the rarities of two characters from the Fontaine trailer. The leaked post confirms that both Navia and Clorinde will make their debut in Genshin Impact as five-star characters, although their release dates remain unknown. Navia is speculated to be the first new Geo character in Genshin Impact in over a year-and-a-half, since the release of Yun Jin in January 2022.

The introduction of new characters in Fontaine's debut will bring an end to the character drought that has been present since the end of the Sumeru chapter. In Version 3.7, only one new four-star character, Kirara, a Dendro Sword user, was added to the game. Additionally, Version 3.8 marked the first update in Genshin Impact's history to not introduce any new characters to the RPG's roster, although it did feature the highly anticipated re-run of Eula. With the release of Fontaine approaching, Genshin Impact fans can look forward to a multitude of new characters coming their way.
