A recent leak from Genshin Impact revealed another character in Fontaine's upcoming cast, a brand-new Hydro Bow character from the region. Although Fontaine's release is a few months away, HoYoverse has already started showcasing the next major region in Teyvat. The game's recent Special Program broadcasts have featured teasers for the region, including a video highlighting Fontaine City in the Version 3.8 Special Program. Leaks have also provided hints about various upcoming content in the game.
Character leaks have been a significant focus regarding Genshin Impact's next region, especially in relation to Fontaine. Leaks have strongly suggested that the previously announced Lyney and Lynette will be among the first playable characters in the new region. Furthermore, leaked information has revealed several other planned roster members from Fontaine, including characters such as Wriothesley, Freminet, and the Hydro Archon Focalors. Now, a new leak has unveiled another character from the Hydro-themed region.
A new character named Sigewinne was recently unveiled in a post by prominent Genshin Impact leaker Tao, with concept art showcasing her skills. The images depict Sigewinne conjuring a swirling vortex of water and accidentally dropping a tray of drinks, hinting at her potential role as a bartender character, similar to Mondstadt's Diona. According to the post, Sigewinne is expected to make her debut as a four-star Hydro Bow character in Genshin Impact. However, Tao later clarified that the purported four-star rarity is merely speculation at this stage.
Sigewinne is part of a series of significant leaks that have occurred in recent weeks, uncovering much of Fontaine's playable cast. Tao's recently released chart has compiled a list of over 20 characters planned for Genshin Impact during the Fontaine cycle. Leaks have also indicated that new characters will come from previously explored regions in the game, including Mondstadt's Dahlia and Inazuma's Chiori. However, Sigewinne's release is not expected in any of Fontaine's initial patches, as many of their character lineups have already been revealed.
The introduction of numerous characters from Genshin Impact's latest region aims to greatly expand the game's roster following a relatively quiet period after the Sumeru cycle. Version 3.7 only introduced one new character, the four-star Dendro character Kirara from Inazuma. It has also been revealed that Version 3.8 will be the first update in Genshin Impact's history to not feature any new party members. While players may have to wait until Fontaine's debut for new characters, the new region promises an abundance of choices for players seeking to enhance their own rosters.
Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
