Aaron Rodgers is already making an impressive recovery less than one month after his NFL season ended early due to injury.
On Sunday, October 8, the 39-year-old athlete turned to Instagram to give a glimpse into his healing journey. Captioning the black-and-white photos, he wrote, "Three weeks into the path to recovery."
One image displayed Rodgers walking with crutches, while another captured him on an examination table with his injured leg extended. In a third photo, he seemed to place his foot on a pile of loose marbles, with a trainer visibly guiding him through an exercise of picking them up with his toes.
Rodgers displayed his support for his New York Jets teammates in the locker room and showcased his determined demeanor during workouts. Fans admired his exceptional talent, with one commenter declaring him as the greatest quarterback of all time, while another acknowledged his remarkable comeback season.
Playing in his first official game as the Jets QB on September 11, Rodgers' time on the field was cut short after just four snaps due to an ankle injury. The results of his MRI, shared by ESPN reporter Adam Schefter the following day, confirmed a torn Achilles tendon effectively ending Rodgers' season.
However, on September 13, Rodgers broke his silence through a lengthy Instagram post. In the post, he expressed his gratitude to all the individuals who had reached out to him in various ways such as calls, texts, direct messages, and connections through mutual friends. He acknowledged that their support and love had greatly impacted him during this challenging time, and while he was experiencing a range of emotions, he remained deeply touched and humbled. He assured everyone that he would make an effort to respond to each person soon.
Despite not being able to play, he celebrated his team's victory against the Buffalo Bills. He asked for thoughts and prayers as he started his healing journey. The night may be dark, but he will rise again. Proud of his teammates for their 1-0 record, he expressed his support. Rodgers has been keeping his fans informed about his recovery and continues to show support for the Jets. He was seen at MetLife Stadium on October 1, using crutches to walk along the sidelines during the game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
At the same game, Taylor Swift was seen cheering on Travis Kelce, her new flame, from a VIP box. During a recapping of the game on the October 3 episode of "The Pat McAfee Show," Aaron Rodgers, who is famously skeptical about the COVID-19 vaccine, made a dig at Kelce by referring to him as "Mr. Pfizer." This comment was in reference to Kelce's recent appearance in a Pfizer campaign promoting the importance of booster shots.
In a press conference on October 6, Kelce responded to Rodgers' jab in a lighthearted manner, saying, "I thought it was pretty good. Who would have thought I'd be in a vaccine war with Aaron Rodgers, man?"
