A law enforcement source has confirmed to CNN that an arrest has been made in Las Vegas in relation to the murder of rapper Tupac Shakur in 1996. The man taken into custody on Friday morning is identified as Duane Keith Davis, also known as "Keffe D," whose wife's residence in Henderson was subjected to a search in July as part of the ongoing investigation into the shooting.

The Las Vegas Metro Police Department officials have scheduled a news conference for later today regarding the investigation into the murder of rapper Tupac Shakur, nearly three decades after the incident.
Shakur met a tragic end as he was shot and fatally wounded after attending a boxing match on the Las Vegas Strip. At the young age of 25, his untimely demise has sparked numerous conspiracy theories and a lengthy investigation.
Davis has consistently claimed to have been present at the crime scene, asserting that he occupied the front seat of the vehicle that pulled up alongside Shakur's car. It was from the backseat that the fatal shots were fired, leading to the musician's death.
During the police investigation in July, they discovered a memoir written by Davis at his wife's residence. The memoir delves into his experience in street gangs and the murder of Shakur. In this account, Davis identifies himself as one of the two surviving witnesses to Shakur's shooting. The other witness is Marion Suge Knight, the former CEO of Death Row Records, who is currently serving a prison sentence for an unrelated manslaughter case.
When questioned about the person who pulled the trigger among the four men in the car, Davis opted to withhold that information, claiming it was an adherence to the unwritten rules of the streets. He simply stated that the shot came from the backseat.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
