Gary King, from Below Deck, expressed remorse for his behavior during the love triangle involving Daisy Kelliher and Colin MacRae in season 4. Despite any assumptions, he clarified that he remains friends with both Daisy and Colin. Reflecting on last season's episodes, he acknowledged the need for personal growth and promised to make efforts to become a better person. In an Instagram post on Friday, July 21, the first officer shared these sentiments.

In response to negative comments and attempts to bring me down, he confidently declared, "Sticks and stones! You will not bring me down." Expressing gratitude towards his supportive followers, he acknowledged their kind messages. This statement was made amidst doubts about Gary's friendship with Colin and Daisy, which arose during the season 4 reunion of Below Deck Sailing Yacht. Both Gary and Colin expressed openness to reconciling with each other, but their relationships with Daisy remained uncertain.

Daisy became emotional when faced with the potential end of her friendship with Colin and Gary. She expressed her feelings, stating, "This is the consequence of being vulnerable. I genuinely care for both of them and they have taught me a lot about myself. I do have some regrets, but what matters most is that I have a good heart and my intentions were sincere. I choose to move forward positively." During a Bravo special, Daisy, Gary, and Colin made an attempt to address their issues. It was initially shocking to viewers and Colin when Gary revealed that he and Daisy had a romantic encounter before filming began. However, later on, Colin surprised everyone by revealing how his romance with Daisy had actually started before their time on Parsifal III.

"Prior to filming season 4, Daisy and I became romantically involved. After it happened, I immediately contacted Gary to inform him, and he was very happy about it," Colin disclosed during the reunion. "This is something that the audience doesn't know. This is the reason our relationship became toxic, as it is impossible to reason with this woman. I have come to realize this, which led me to end things with her."

He continued: "During the time before season 4, I was involved with another woman on my boat. I was honest with both Daisy and this other woman about each other. Everything was out in the open. ... Now I am with this woman because she treats me extremely well."

Daisy criticized Colin for being involved with someone else while also questioning her previous relationship with Gary. She expressed feeling guilty about Gary and eventually cutting off contact with him because of Colin. Daisy was deeply hurt and shocked to discover Colin's serious relationship with the mystery woman. She believed that their toxic dynamic stemmed from a lack of trust.
