A recent rumor has surfaced in the world of Genshin Impact, revealing the next two characters who will be receiving new outfits. Despite the significance of cosmetics in most gacha games, HoYoverse's immensely popular title has not provided a plethora of alternative skins for its playable characters.
Genshin Impact typically introduces four skins per year, with two being released during the Lantern Rite Festival and the other two around the Summer event. In the previous update 3.8, fans were delighted to see two new outfits added for beloved characters who made their debut in 2020: Kaeya and Klee. Kaeya becomes the second free-to-play character to receive a new outfit, following in the footsteps of Lisa who received her Sumeru-themed skin in version 3.4.
A recent Twitter post from Teyvattabloid2 hints at the possibility of new outfits for two prominent Liyue characters in the future. Ganyu, the highly coveted Cryo bow wielder, along with Xingqiu, the skilled Hydro sword user, have been identified as the potential recipients of these wardrobe updates. If these rumors hold true, it is likely that these new attires will be unveiled during the Lantern Rite Festival, an annual event that predominantly centers around the Geo region. The leaked information suggests that both outfits will have a four-star rarity, indicating their impressive quality. However, it is important to approach these leaks with caution as the Lantern Rite Festival is still several months away.
Both Ganyu and Xingqiu are widely regarded as top-tier characters in their respective roles on the field. Despite Ganyu being released in version 1.2 alongside the Geo alchemist Albedo, she remains the preferred Cryo DPS character for many Genshin Impact players. A unique feature of Ganyu is her special Charged Attack, which has two levels determined by charging time.
To maximize her DPS potential, players should use Ganyu's level 2 Charged Attack, which inflicts AoE Cryo damage. Xingqiu, a four-star character, is highly acclaimed for his Hydro abilities and is often included in the powerful National team composition. Surprisingly, despite consisting of only four-star characters, this team composition frequently ranks at the top of the Spiral Abyss usage charts.
Xingqiu excels as an off-field DPS or support character, proficiently inflicting Hydro damage on nearby foes. Being a four-star unit, Genshin Impact players can effortlessly unlock and enhance all of Xingqiu's constellation levels.
