On Thursday, February 29, 2024, a new promotional video was streamed by the official staff of the Mysterious Disappearances anime. The video unveiled April 10, 2024, as the premiere date of the anime, along with a preview of the theme songs and the announcement of additional cast members and a key visual.
The Mysterious Disappearances anime is produced by Zero-G Studios and is based on the manga series of the same name created by Nujima. Serialized on Shogakukan's Yawaraka Spirits website since October 2019, the manga has already seen the release of six volumes, with the seventh volume scheduled to be released on March 29, 2024.

On Thursday, February 29, 2024, the official team behind the Mysterious Disappearances anime unveiled the series' second promotional video, a new key visual, theme songs and artists, and additional cast members. The teaser clip confirmed that the show is set to premiere on April 10, 2024.
Broadcast details were also disclosed at the time of the announcement. The Mysterious Disappearances anime is scheduled to air on April 10, 2024, on the AT-X channel at 10:30 pm. Subsequently, it will be shown on Tokyo MX and BS NTV at 24:00 JST (which is effectively April 11, 2024, at 12 am JST).

The most recent promotional video showcases the anime's main characters and hints at a captivating plot filled with elements of the "bizarre" and "supernatural." Sumireko Ogawa starts off by introducing the story, focusing on the fleeting friendship and farewell shared between herself and Ren Adashino.
Moving forward, the PV delves into a series of peculiar events, accompanied by the opening and ending theme songs. It is revealed that Yuyu performs the opening theme song titled Hazard Symbol, while Nanoka Obuchi lends her voice to the ending song, Shuku Somete Shinzo, which translates to Scarlet-Dyed-Heart in English.

Aside from the trailer, the official staff for the Mysterious Disappearances anime has revealed the additional cast for the series. Rie Takahashi, the renowned Seiyuu (voice actor) stars as Shizuku Hayami, while Saya Aizawa plays Nodoka Ametsuchi's role. Yuya Uchida has also joined the anime's voice cast as John Doe.

Besides, a new key visual has been revealed for the series, showcasing Sumireko, Ren, Shizuku, Oto, Manami, and John Doe at the Kisaragi station from Japanese urban legends.
Tomomi Mochizuki is helming the series at Zero-G Studios, taking on both directing and composing duties. Takuya Tani is responsible for character design, while Kayo Konishi and Yukio Kondoo are in charge of the series' music. Additionally, Masaki Utsunomiya is handling the editing for the anime.

Based on Nujima's manga series, the upcoming anime tells a modern-day Romanesque story and centers around Sumireko Ogawa, an aspiring novelist with a deep love for mysteries.
