Mendes, who is 50 years old, posted a video on Instagram on Tuesday, April 16, showing Gosling, 43, giving a shoutout to their relationship on the comedy show. In a sketch called "Can't Tonight," Gosling used a Latino accent while acting with Kenan Thompson and Marcello Hernández. Thompson, who is 45 years old, commented that Gosling's character "is from Tennessee, but ever since he married a Cuban woman, he's different."

Gosling shared that having a Cuban wife can have a big impact on a person, mentioning how he started speaking like a "Cuban papi." Thompson and Hernández's characters try to convince their friend to go out for the night, mentioning that Mendes would be at the club they were heading to.
