The Goblin Camp serves as an initial stronghold for players in Baldur's Gate 3. As part of their mission to eliminate their Mind Flayer parasites, players have the opportunity to visit this questionable fortress and request an audience with one of its leaders. This encounter may potentially provide valuable information on how to permanently remove the tadpole infestation.
Depending on the decisions made by players, the outcome of their visit to the Goblin Camp may not be entirely agreeable. Certain choices may result in their imprisonment in a cell, which initially appears to be a daunting challenge to escape from. However, despite the presence of numerous guards and a formidable Ogress just outside the cell, breaking free from the Goblin Camp is not as difficult as it may appear.
How to Escape the Goblin Camp (Defiled Temple)
If the encounter with True Soul Gut goes awry, she will administer a sedative to one of the party members and confine them in a secluded chamber within the temple. The other members of the party have freedom of movement but are not required to take any action for this segment.
Prior to that, the captive party member may attempt an Acrobatics or Strength check to determine if they can liberate themselves from their restraints. Successfully doing so will grant them the opportunity to covertly exit through the door and return to the chamber where Gut inflicted the poisoning. Reuniting with the remainder of the party can take place from this point onwards.
Taking the ladder and swiftly jumping to the opposite side of the window before the Ogress notices provides an alternate route. Following this path leads players to the Defiled Temple, where they can encounter a puzzle that they must solve in order to escape to the Underdark.
Opting to conserve their energy, players will witness a mysterious woman executing True Soul Gut before vanishing. After this point, players have the freedom to explore their surroundings or teleport to a designated waypoint.
Escaping the Worg Pens
If players engage in criminal activities, they will be confined to the Worg Pens. This particular area serves as the traditional prison within the Goblin Camp, and the escape process is similar to others. Additionally, players can encounter Halsin, the leader of the Druids, in this location.
To escape the Worg Pens, players have the option to manually pick the lock on their jail cell and sneak out. Alternatively, those lacking lockpicks or the expertise to unlock the door can forcefully remove the deceased elf obstructing a mysterious hole on the opposite side of the cell. By attacking the hole until it breaks, players can exit the pens and utilize a waypoint to swiftly travel to another location.
The confiscated equipment can be found in one of the chests located in front of the cell. It is recommended to assign a different party member to retrieve them in order to avoid the inconvenience of sneaking back to the Worg Pens. Baldur's Gate 3 is currently available on PC, with a PS5 version to be released soon.
