Erin Andrews believes that Travis Kelce has greatly benefited from his relationship with Taylor Swift.
"He's undergoing a significant transformation. He appears fantastic," Andrews, aged 45, shared with The Messenger in a recent interview that was published on Tuesday, November 7. She also expressed how exciting it has been to witness young girls developing an interest in football as a result of the NFL star's connection with the renowned pop star.
Kelce, aged 34, and Swift, aged 33, have been romantically linked ever since her appearance at his Kansas City Chiefs game against the Chicago Bears in September. In fact, she has attended a total of four games since then. It is common to spot her enthusiastically cheering for Kelce from the family suite, often accompanied by her mother Donna Kelce, father Ed Kelce, and even Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. This heartwarming sight, according to Andrews, has had a tremendously positive impact on the league. Andrews, who has been working as a sportscaster for over two decades, vividly remembers one incident where Swift captured the hearts of two young girls. The girls were overjoyed when they spotted her, jumping up and down and waving. In response, she blew them a kiss, leaving Andrews in awe of her genuine kindness.
Andrews expressed meeting Swift once and being "amazed" by the singer's kindness and exceptional interaction with her fans. She also appreciated Swift's enjoyment of the situation and remarked on the positive impact it has on the sport.
Andrews seems to possess a talent for matchmaking. Prior to Swift attending Travis' game in September, she proposed the idea of Swift dating the tight end on an episode of her "Calm Down" podcast in August. During that time, Andrews expressed, "Taylor, besides dominating The Eras Tour, I'm not sure what occupies your life right now. However, I urge you to consider exploring a romantic connection with our wonderful friend Travis."
Swift, I want to tell you that although we may not have the closest bond or even consider ourselves friends, I do view you as one. I urge you to consider accepting this proposal. Take the opportunity to go on a date with this gentleman. It would not only serve your personal interests but also benefit our nation.
Travis Kelce expressed his gratitude to Andrews when a video resurfaced on social media last month. He replied to the podcast's official Instagram account, saying, "You two are amazing! I owe you a lot!" The caption of the video read, "@killatrav we strive to do our best. This is our purpose!"
Swift potentially showed her gratitude towards Andrews in a subtle manner. During her attendance at Travis' Chiefs game versus the Denver Broncos the previous month, Swift sported a zip-up windbreaker in the team's iconic colors, which was from Andrews' Women's WEAR collection. Andrews took to Instagram to express her admiration for Swift wearing the garment, stating, "@TaylorSwift in #WEARbyEA! I'm ecstatic! Thank you!" Later on, during an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers, she playfully joked about potentially claiming credit for their romance.
"Travis expressed his disappointment in not being able to meet her," she mentioned in the October episode. "Since we are good friends of his, we were candidly encouraging Taylor to date him." She further expressed, "We aspire to officiate their wedding and witness his proposal, among other things."
During her conversation with The Messenger on Tuesday, Andrews, who has been friends with the football star for a long time, conveyed her contentment for Travis, stating that she is glad he is enjoying himself in his new relationship.
"He is an absolutely amazing person, which is why we were completely transparent and supportive when suggesting that Taylor should go on a date with our friend. He possesses the same exceptional qualities in real life as he portrays on TV. People naturally lean towards individuals like him. He has an incredible personality and is an absolute delight to be around. Without a doubt, he is the very best."
