Max has paid homage to the late Angus Cloud, the actor from Euphoria, who passed away unexpectedly.

A message, reading "In memory of Angus Cloud 1998-2023," appears before the premieres of season 1 and season 2. Alongside the tribute is a black-and-white photograph of Cloud, accompanied by a content warning for the show's viewers.

Cloud portrayed the character Fez, who was Zendaya's drug dealer on the television series Euphoria from 2019 to 2022.

"Many doctors recognize addiction as a serious disease, although it is often misunderstood. It is easy for people to simply say 'just say no' when discussing addiction. However, for individuals actively dealing with addiction, abstaining from drugs becomes an incredibly difficult task. This struggle can ultimately lead to the destruction of their entire lives and even death. Despite this, there are still those who deny that addiction is a disease, arguing that individuals 'choose' to use drugs. It is important to remember that no one 'chooses' to have cancer either."

Cloud stated that Fez is not a bad individual but rather someone facing unfortunate circumstances, similar to many characters in Euphoria. Despite his occupation, Fez retains his compassion, good-naturedness, and willingness to safeguard and support his community when required.

In recent weeks, reports surfaced of Cloud's passing at the age of 25.

Angus, a remarkable artist, friend, brother, and son, held a special place in all of our lives,” expressed Cloud's family in a statement. "Recently, he laid his father to rest, and he bore the weight of this loss immensely. Our solace lies in the knowledge that Angus has finally reunited with his beloved father, his true comrade."

In their statement, his loved ones reflected on Cloud's enduring legacy, stating, "Angus was transparent about his struggles with mental health, and we sincerely hope that his passing serves as a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not face this battle in solitary silence. May the world remember him for his wit, laughter, and unconditional love for all. During this time, we kindly request privacy as we continue to grapple with this heartbreaking loss."

Angus’ mother, Lisa Cloud, took to Facebook on Friday, August 5, to address the rumors suggesting that her son died by suicide.

Setting the record straight, she reassured everyone that this was not the case. In her heartfelt post, Lisa expressed gratitude for the support and love her family has received during this devastating time. She also revealed that despite Angus being deeply affected by the untimely passing of his father, Conor Hickey, from mesothelioma, his last day was filled with joy.

Lisa disclosed that Angus had been reorganizing his room and purposefully placing items around the house, indicating his intention to stay in the home he cherished. Furthermore, Angus had expressed his determination to support his sisters financially while they pursued their college education, as well as provide emotional and financial assistance to his mother.

After his passing, Lisa clarified that Angus had no intention of taking his own life. She recalled their loving exchange before bed, emphasizing their expressions of love and assurance of seeing each other in the morning. Lisa admitted uncertainty about whether Angus had ingested anything thereafter. All she knew was that he had rested his head on the desk while engrossed in an art project, inadvertently falling asleep and tragically never waking up.

After Angus' death garnered attention in the media, Zendaya paid a heartfelt tribute to her fellow actor. She expressed her gratitude for knowing Angus and considered him a brother, reminiscing about his warm, kind eyes, bright smile, and infectious laughter.

Zendaya acknowledged that people often say loved ones have the ability to brighten any room they enter, but she truly believed that Angus excelled at it. She wanted to remember him for his immense light, love, and joy that he brought to those around him. Zendaya promised to cherish every moment she had with him.
