Emma Stone has given Us the green light to dust off our chokers.
The 35-year-old actress brought back the popular '90s accessory with a delicate twist at the Poor Things premiere in New York City on December 6. Stone's accessory featured a thick black band with a glittery, lifelike flower at the center. She paired the statement piece with a vibrant yellow gown by Louis Vuitton, a brand she has been representing since October 2017. The dress had a sheer base with a lace and beaded overlay, a plunging neckline, and a short train. Stone completed the look with metallic sandal heels, rosy cheeks, a pink lip, shimmery eyeshadow, and an elegant updo, showcasing her bright red hair.
Stone’s red carpet look seemed to be a toned-down homage to her character Bella Baxter’s eccentric Victorian style in Poor Things. Throughout the film, Bella, a young woman revived by unorthodox scientist Dr. Goodwin Baxter, sports outfits with flowing sleeves, unique textures, and vibrant colors. Her lively ensembles are complemented by Bella’s long, jet-black wavy hair and bold eyebrows.
