Emma Stone transported us to the past at a London screening of Poor Things on Thursday, December 14. The 35-year-old actress looked stunning in a head-to-toe Louis Vuitton ensemble on the red carpet at the Barbican Centre. She wore a plunging light blue silk gown paired with an Old Hollywood-style shawl in a darker shade of blue. The shawl was reminiscent of the accessories worn by iconic stars like Audrey Hepburn and Elizabeth Taylor in the '50s and '60s.
Stone paired her delicate outfit with stylish costume jewelry and strappy high-heeled sandals. Adding a touch of glam, she appeared radiant with flushed cheeks and a pink lipstick. She styled her red hair in loose, voluminous curls. Stone has a history of bringing back past fashion trends.
At the premiere of Poor Things in New York City on December 6, Stone made a statement with a choker featuring a lifelike flower at the center, which she paired with a vibrant yellow gown by Louis Vuitton. Stone has been an ambassador for the brand since October 2017. The dress had a sheer base with a lace and beaded overlay, complemented by a plunging neckline and a short train. Stone completed the look with metallic heels and soft glam makeup, including a pink lip and shimmery eyeshadow, accompanied by a simple updo.

Stone’s promotional appearances for Poor Things not only revived retro fashion trends but also seemed to pay homage to her character Bella Baxter’s quirky Victorian fashion sense.
Stone dazzles in the film as Bella, a young woman revitalized by the unorthodox scientist Dr. Goodwin Baxter. Her eye-catching wardrobe boasts billowing sleeves, distinct textures, and vibrant colors, accentuated by Bella's long, jet-black wavy hair and sharp eyebrows. In a recent interview with Access Hollywood, Stone expressed her enthusiasm for portraying the unique character of Bella, emphasizing her unprecedented nature.

She expressed, "It was truly incredible to shed any self-judgment or constraints. [Bella] is incredibly open and free, which was astonishing. I'm just extremely thrilled about this movie and I absolutely adore it."
Alongside Stone, Poor Things features Willem Dafoe as Dr. Baxter, as well as Mark Ruffalo, Ramy Youssef, Margaret Qualley and Jerrod Carmichael. Directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, the film is adapted from Alasdair Gray's 1992 novel of the same title.
