Elizabeth Chambers seemed to be feeling a bit disenchanted with reality TV while in the midst of filming her show Grand Cayman: Secrets in Paradise.
In a recent episode that aired on Tuesday, April 23, Elizabeth, who is 41 years old, was getting ready for a party to celebrate the upcoming opening of BIRD Bakery at the Mykonos Steak Club & Bakery in Grand Cayman. The event, organized by Cass Lacelle, had a guest list that included Elizabeth's fellow cast members: Selita Ebanks, Courtney McTaggart, Chelsea Flynn, Craig Jervis, Connor Bunney, Julian Foster, Aaron Bernardo, Teri Bilewitch, Dillon Claassens, Victoria Coleman, and Trevor Coleman.
The reunion didn't go as planned. Elizabeth arrived two hours late, greeted Julian and Craig but ignored others, like Courtney, who was upset about it.
Courtney expressed her disappointment, saying, "I don't think it's unique to Caribbean culture to greet people when you enter a room. It's just common courtesy. If Hollywood behaves this way, then I don't want any part of it. I'm sure everyone in Hollywood will end up disliking me."
Craig expressed his concerns about Elizabeth ignoring Courtney in his interview. He questioned her behavior, saying, "I would say hi to me too but what about everyone else? Who raised you? That is the perfect example of what Cayman kind is not."
Victoria, who witnessed the incident, shared her thoughts on Elizabeth. She joked, "Now I know why it is called BIRD Bakery. Because Elizabeth is good at ruffling everyone's feathers."
The lunch became even more uncomfortable when the cast realized how distant Elizabeth was acting. Despite promising to bring treats, Elizabeth told Cass she changed her mind to focus on Mykonos that night. She also chose not to join her castmates in dancing on the tables.
"I'm not really in the mood to dance on tables right now," Elizabeth explained. "I can definitely do it, but not in this setting."

Elizabeth expressed her dissatisfaction with the setup to her friend, mentioning that she could never see herself doing reality TV. She made this comment while being filmed for the Freeform reality series.
In a later part of the episode, Courtney decided to confront Elizabeth.
Courtney noticed Elizabeth acting suspiciously, standing in the corner and giving secretive glances. She wondered why Elizabeth was even there since she wasn't socializing or sharing what she was up to, just whispering to her friend and ignoring everyone.
Despite trying to be polite for Cass' event, Courtney couldn't ignore Elizabeth's shady behavior any longer. It seemed like Elizabeth was only interested in playing games, but Courtney was ready to stand up to her. If Elizabeth wanted to play, then game on.
Elizabeth and Courtney sat down to talk, but things got rocky quickly. Courtney believed Elizabeth had accused her of being Armie Hammer's mistress through fake Instagram messages.

Courtney started the conversation by stating that she knows everything and has an issue with the other person. She mentioned that they are from a peaceful island and questioned if the other person is used to getting away with certain things where they are from.
Courtney pointed out to Elizabeth that she actually thrived on deception and pretending, not honesty.
In response, Elizabeth denied being the one sending anonymous messages to Courtney about her ex-husband, Armie, who is 37 years old. Elizabeth and Armie share two children together, Harper (9) and Ford (7), and their divorce was finalized in 2023. Following their separation in 2020, Armie faced allegations of sending explicit text messages to multiple women detailing disturbing sexual fantasies, such as rape, mutilation, and cannibalism, allegations which he denied.
In the trailer for next week's episodes, viewers were given a closer look at Elizabeth's perspective. She firmly stated, "I am not messaging you," and expressed her confusion with, "I don't know what the heck you are talking about."
Elizabeth chose not to discuss the drama further in a confessional, simply saying, "End of discussion." She was shown getting emotional on the phone with a friend who advised her to come back to Los Angeles instead of staying in Grand Cayman amidst the ongoing "high school drama."
The distance between the costars has been noticeable since the premiere of Grand Cayman: Secrets in Paradise earlier this month. While most of the cast filmed together from the start, Elizabeth focused on her bakery, which is the main theme of her scenes.
Elizabeth shared exclusively with We that the show is not her reality in her day-to-day life. She explained that her usual routine involves flying in and out for her other show with her kids. Despite this, she found filming the series to be enjoyable. According to her, the key lesson is to stay true to oneself and avoid saying or doing things that may lead to regret. She emphasized the importance of self-awareness, setting boundaries, and maintaining authenticity throughout the process.
Grand Cayman: Secrets in Paradise airs on Freeform Tuesdays at 9:30 p.m. ET and is available to stream on Hulu the next day.
Editor's P/S:
The recent episode of "Grand Cayman: Secrets in Paradise" reveals the growing tension between Elizabeth Chambers and her fellow cast members. Elizabeth's tardiness, selective greetings, and disinterest in socializing have sparked frustration and raised questions about her motives. Courtney McTaggart's confrontation with Elizabeth over alleged anonymous messages accusing her of being Armie Hammer's mistress further escalates the drama. Elizabeth's denial and refusal to discuss the matter highlight the escalating conflict within the group.
Elizabeth's expressed dissatisfaction with reality TV and her focus on her bakery suggest that she may not be fully invested in the show's premise. Her aloof behavior and lack of engagement with her castmates raise concerns about her commitment to the project. As the season progresses, it remains to be seen how Elizabeth's actions will impact the dynamics of the group and the overall success of the show.
