Dorit Kemsley is firing back at Crystal Kung Minkoff's accusation that she was late to the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' season 13 reunion.
In response to a fan's comment that she arrived "2 hours" after her castmates, Dorit, 47, took to her Instagram on Wednesday, March 6, to express her disbelief. She stated, "What nonsense. Our arrivals were timestamped in the first reunion episode. Crystal's claim that I was 2 hours late to set because I was doing Tik Tok's is nothing more than another bold-faced lie out of her mouth."
Doria mentioned that during the filming, everyone on set knew about her dress mishap involving a broken zipper. The wardrobe team did a quick fix by sewing her into the dress in less than 2 hours. She clarified that the Tik Tok videos she shared at the reunion were made after filming, as it was already dark outside.
Crystal, on the other hand, responded to Doria's statement by expressing disagreement with her version of what happened.
"Sorry, but nope!" she commented on @QueenofBravo's Instagram post sharing Dorit's comment. "Those time stamps are incorrect (love you Bravo!). It's not dark at 7:30am. Walking 15 steps at 10:30 does not magically make it 11:30. We actually started filming the first segment without Dorit at 11:45 because Andy was getting impatient - just like the rest of us. Let's be honest and respect each other's time."
The exchange between the cast members happened after the first part of the RHOBH season 13 reunion aired on Wednesday, February 28. During the show, viewers witnessed Dorit arriving late to set while everyone else was already seated, causing frustration among the women and host Andy Cohen.
Cohen, 55, expressed his relief at arriving at 8:15 while waiting for Dorit's dress to be sewn.
After the episode aired, Crystal and her costars felt annoyed upon seeing Dorit's Mean Girls lip-sync TikTok video recorded while she was getting dressed.
Crystal shared on SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live that she found it annoying to wake up early to watch videos of her playing around. She would rather sleep in or take her kids to school instead of leaving at 5 a.m.
This incident isn't the first time Dorit and Crystal have been in a dispute. In a previous season of RHOBH, they argued when Crystal was accused of insulting the cast's intelligence. Dorit retaliated by calling Crystal a "child bride" due to her marriage to Rob Minkoff, who is 20 years older than her.
When the tense moment resurfaced at the reunion, Crystal was clearly upset. She told Dorit, "That is a disgusting thing to say." Crystal then went on to explain why the comment was so hurtful, stating, "OK, I’m an Asian person. … As an Asian person, calling someone a child bride is the equivalent to a mail-order bride."
Part 2 of the RHOBH reunion will be shown on Bravo on Wednesday, March 13 at 8/7c.
Editor's P/S:
The ongoing feud between Dorit Kemsley and Crystal Kung Minkoff on "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" reached a boiling point at the season 13 reunion, with both women accusing each other of being dishonest. While Dorit insists she was not late to the reunion and that her dress malfunction delayed her arrival, Crystal maintains that she was two hours late and that her TikTok videos were filmed before filming began. This incident highlights the tensions and conflicts that can arise within reality television groups and the importance of communication and respect among cast members.
The dispute between Dorit and Crystal also exposes the complexities of cultural sensitivity and the impact of personal history on interactions. Crystal's objection to Dorit's "child bride" comment underscores the need for awareness and understanding of different perspectives and the potential harm caused by insensitive language. The ongoing drama on "RHOBH" serves as a cautionary tale about the importance of accountability, honesty, and respect in maintaining relationships and navigating conflict within reality television environments.
