Wedding bells are ringing for Don Lemon and his longtime partner, Tim Malone.
The former CNN anchor and his fiancé are set to get married on Saturday, April 6, in New York City, We can confirm.
The couple booked the bottom floor of the Polo Bar for their weekend celebrations, according to a source who spoke with Us. Celebrity guests, including renowned music producer Clive Davis, are also anticipated to be in attendance.
Lemon, who is 58 years old, began dating Malone, who is 39, in 2016. They first met at Almond Restaurant in Bridgehampton, New York, almost a year before they started their relationship.
The couple celebrated the start of 2018 by sharing a kiss on live television during CNN's New Year's Eve Live broadcast. Fast forward one year, Lemon excitedly revealed his engagement, with a little assistance from his two furry companions.
Taking to Instagram, the journalist posted a picture of a dog collar with the message "Daddy Will You Marry Papa," given to him as a birthday gift. Lemon expressed his joy by saying, "How could I resist such a heartfelt proposal?"
After receiving a romantic gesture, Lemon couldn't contain his excitement about the wonderful man in his life.
In an exclusive interview with We in April 2019, Lemon expressed, "It feels strange to use the word 'fiancé,' but my fiancé is truly amazing. He is incredibly kind and sweet." Reflecting on the proposal, Lemon shared, "He was so vulnerable when he asked me to marry him. I was in disbelief because it felt surreal."

When Malone knelt down to propose, Lemon knew right away what was going on. Lemon recalled, "His whole body was trembling, and he said, 'I love you and I want to be with you forever.' I was like, 'Oh my goodness, are you serious? Is this for real?' When I saw the ring box, I said, 'Yes!'" Lemon shared with Us, "It has been an incredible experience."
Although wedding planning was put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic, Lemon never wavered in his belief that Malone was his soulmate. Lemon, who came out as gay in his 2011 memoir Transparent, expressed his certainty about their forever partnership.
During an episode of The Tamron Hall Show in April 2021, Lemon shared, "I finally met the right person. Someone who values family and supports me. I realized that I needed to embrace my life. Growing up, I never thought I could openly share my love life and relationships."
Their love is so deep that they often talk about having children.
Lemon shared with Tamron Hall, “I’m considering starting a family. We are discussing whether to adopt or use a surrogate. We are still deciding on the best option. Tim, being younger, will likely be the one to have the child since his body will recover faster.”
