The fantasy comedy manga series, Delicious in Dungeon by Ryouko Kui, has excitingly been announced to be adapted into a TV anime series by Studio Trigger in August 2022. The news was shared through the official websites and Twitter account of the anime.
To celebrate this announcement, the anime recently released a distinctive key visual showcasing the four characters enjoying satisfying meals in a dungeon, reminiscent of a top-down shooter game perspective. The excitement continued during Studio Trigger's press release panel at the Anime Expo on July 1, 2023, when it was revealed that Netflix had acquired the licensing rights for the anime.

The world premiere of this delightful exploration of dungeons as a culinary art is set to take place in January 2024, much to the delight of fans. Building up the excitement, an official trailer has been unveiled, providing a sneak peek into the side-splitting characters and the thrilling escapades that lie ahead.
Delicious in Dungeon will be directed by Yoshihiro Miyajima at Studio Trigger. The scripts for the anime will be penned by Kimiko Ueno, while Naoki Takeda will handle the character designs. Composing the music for the series will be Yasunori Mitsuda and Shunsuke Tsuchiya. The anime, announced on October 4, is scheduled to run for two consecutive cours from January to June 2024.
BUMP OF THE CHICKEN, a popular Japanese rock band, has been chosen to perform the opening theme song, Sleep Walking Orchestra, for Delicious in Dungeon. The details regarding the ending theme song and release date for the series are still unknown.
The original manga series, also titled Delicious in Dungeon, was written by Ryouko Kui and first appeared in Enterbrain's Harta magazine on February 15, 2014. As of August 2022, there have been twelve tankobons released, indicating that there is ample source material for season 1 of the anime and potentially more in the future.

However, Laios presents a brilliant proposition: "Let's satisfy our hunger with the monsters!"
