Although Neuvillette was initially not playable when introduced in Genshin Impact, the Chief Justice of Fontaine plays a crucial role in the region's story. Neuvillette serves as the head judge of the Opera Epiclese and is accompanied by Fontaine's enigmatic verdict-dispatching apparatus, the "Oratrice Mecanique d'Analyse Cardinale." Players also have the opportunity to interact with Neuvillette outside of the court, getting to know his stoic personality while investigating the case of Navia's father's death. Soon, fans of Neuvillette will have the chance to include the Chief Justice in their teams.
The latest trailer in Genshin Impact's "Character Demo" series showcases the gameplay of Fontaine's Chief Justice, Neuvillette, with regal and majestic flair. Neuvillette wields a cane to manipulate water, employing a unique Charged Attack that allows him to gather "Sourcewater Droplets" and unleash a powerful beam that inflicts Hydro damage. Utilizing Fontaine's Arkhe system, Neuvillette's Elemental Skill summons a "Raging Waterfall" that deals Hydro damage with the Pneuma alignment. His Elemental Burst releases waves of Hydro damage around him, based on his Max HP. Neuvillette's introduction to Genshin Impact has sparked speculation about his connection to Fontaine's story. In addition to Neuvillette, players can expect another five-star character to be introduced in the second half of the Version 4.1 update.
