Recent leaks have shed light on the upcoming region in Genshin Impact's next update. Following the addition of the Inazuma islands, developer HoYoverse has consistently added new areas to explore in Teyvat with each update. In version 3.6, players can expect to discover two new regions belonging to the Sumeru nation, which will be the final expansions in the land of Dendro for the foreseeable future. Rumors suggest that avid explorers should prepare themselves for even more exciting locations to be introduced in the next few updates.
Leaked information suggests that Genshin Impact update 3.8 will introduce a new limited region, equivalent in size to the Golden Apple Archipelago that was introduced in previous updates. A recently shared map of the new region on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit has revealed the inclusion of 9 teleport waypoints, leading fans to speculate that the region may be larger than anticipated. With only one underground waypoint, it appears that the majority of the upcoming limited quests will take place on the surface level, a decision that has been praised by Travelers. While no new characters will be introduced with the update, a new special domain will be added, featuring a new enemy named Idyia, who is said to be very similar to the Oceanid of Qingce, offering players a familiar fighting experience.
In Genshin Impact, the Golden Apple Archipelago event has always been highly anticipated as it introduces new skins for some of the playable characters. In the past, the event has brought summer-themed outfits for popular Mondstadt characters, Jean and Barbara, and even introduced the first-ever five-star skin for Pyro claymore user Diluc. However, recent leaks suggest that the upcoming GAA event in update 3.8 will also feature new outfits for two fan-favorite Mondstadt characters, Klee and Kaeya. Rumors suggest that players may even have the opportunity to obtain one of the skins for free by completing limited quests.
Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
