A flaw has been pointed out by a Pokemon GO player regarding the recently released Phantump Mask, noting that the player's in-game avatar's face is visible beneath the costume. As Halloween approaches, Niantic is hosting multiple spooky in-game events in Pokemon GO, allowing trainers to capture various Ghost-type monsters for their Pokedex.

One of the latest events introduces Greavard from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet into Pokemon GO for the very first time. Timed research tasks will be available for free starting from October 19 at 10 AM until October 31 at 8 PM local time. Players will also have the opportunity to unlock additional rewards, including Stardust, egg incubators, and Pokeballs. In addition to the in-game challenges, players can customize their avatars with costumes inspired by trick-or-treating, including an oversized Phantump Mask.

A Reddit user named pentagonium has pointed out that the new Phantump Mask on Pokemon GO does not fully cover the player's eyes or mouth, allowing the in-game avatar to be seen underneath the mask. The mask is supposed to have covered eye sockets according to the official artwork, but it seems that the character is still visible. Comments on the post agree that the characters don't look right with the mask, and some players have suggested wearing sunglasses to darken the area around the eyes. It's worth noting that Niantic had previously released a Pikachu-themed Pumpkin Mask that covered the trainer's face, so it's possible that the missing eye sockets are a glitch that will be fixed in a future update.

It remains to be seen if the mask is glitched, but Niantic has received criticism from fans about the new Party Play feature in Pokemon GO. This addition allows up to four players to collaborate and complete tasks and raids together, but some gamers are worried that they cannot follow Routes when Party Play is active.

From 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time on Sunday, November 5, players will have the opportunity to encounter both Wooper and Paldean Wooper and have an increased chance of capturing their rare shiny forms.
