Jessel Taank’s fellow Real Housewives of New York City cast members couldn't stop discussing her husband's trip to Vietnam solely for the purpose of accumulating frequent flyer miles. However, he has absolutely no remorse - in fact, he thoroughly enjoyed his time there.
"I managed to get my hands on some really delicious sandwiches," Pavit Randhawa revealed exclusively to We on Tuesday, October 17. "I indulged in an incredibly excessive amount of food. I reckon I was in Vietnam for about 30 hours and during that time, I ate to my heart's content."
Jessel and Pavit's fellow actors were puzzled by the idea of Pavit traveling alone to Vietnam to earn frequent flyer miles. However, Jessel explained that it is not uncommon for him to travel solo. She mentioned that he had previously traveled alone to Panama as well, emphasizing that he often prefers to travel alone.
Furthermore, Jessel expressed her belief that her colleagues' confusion reflects their own insecurities rather than any genuine issues in her marriage. She found it unusual that people immediately assume something suspicious is happening. According to her, society has been programmed to make negative assumptions, which she finds disappointing.
Some of Jessel’s castmates insinuated that Pavit was traveling alone to cheat on his wife with sex workers, but he told Us he was offended by those remarks.
"I find it hard to believe that people would visit Vietnam for sexual tourism," he commented. "Linking any South Asian nation to such activity is bizarre. Vietnam is unquestionably one of the most stunning countries, with incredible cuisine. We have been there multiple times and can attest to its beauty. The locals are truly remarkable. Thus, the notion of associating it with such behavior is truly perplexing."
Jessel acknowledged that she and Pavit lead a very flexible lifestyle together.
"We are two individuals who are married, but we both happily pursue our own interests," she explained. "I never hold him back if he wants to do something because I believe that controlling or stifling someone's character, personality, or passion for travel and exploration can create friction in a relationship. Similarly, he is also supportive of me. If I express a desire to go on a girls trip, he might give me a hard time for a few minutes, but ultimately, I have the freedom to do what I want."
Charles Sykes/BravoPavit revealed that Jessel frequently urges him to participate in male outings, a claim that she attested to. Jessel humorously added that these outings can be considered as a form of relaxation for both of them.
Part 1 of The Real Housewives of New York City reunion airs on Bravo Sunday, October 22, at 9 p.m. ET.
