Sean "Diddy" Combs has decided not to attend the 66th annual Grammy Awards in light of the sexual misconduct scandal. His representative, 54, confirmed this news to The Hollywood Reporter on Friday, January 12. We have reached out for comment.
Diddy's album, The Love Album: Off the Grid, received a nomination for Best Progressive R&B Album at the upcoming ceremony on Sunday, February 4. As per Grammy tradition, each nominee is extended an invitation to the show.
In late 2023, Diddy, a three-time Grammy winner, faced allegations of sexual assault from multiple women. In light of this, the Recording Academy deliberated rescinding his invitation to the Grammys, despite his ongoing denials of the accusations.
The Academy is committed to carefully and thoroughly evaluating this matter. In November 2023, Diddy was accused of misconduct by his ex-girlfriend Cassie, who sued him for rape and repeated physical abuse spanning 10 years. Diddy has denied the allegations and the case was settled one day later.

Diddy's attorney, Ben Brafman, made it clear that settling the lawsuit in 2023 is not an admission of wrongdoing. He emphasized that Mr. Combs' decision to settle does not undermine his denial of the claims and expressed happiness that a mutual settlement was reached. Following Cassie's lawsuit, other women also came forward with similar claims of alleged abuse, which the rapper denied. Each lawsuit alleged assaults several decades earlier.
Following the scandal, Hulu reportedly scrapped a new reality show about Diddy and his family and he left his position as chairman of TV network Revolt.
