Team Suggestion for Dendro Hypostasis Encounter in Genshin Impact
Starting from version 3.2, the Dendro Hypostasis stands as the sole boss in Genshin Impact that encompasses all elemental variations. Initially, the game was introduced with Electro, Anemo, and Geo elements. Subsequently, Cryo Hypostasis was incorporated for Eula, Pyro Hypostasis for Yoimiya, and Hydro Hypostasis for Sangonomiya Kokomi.
In the 3.2 update of Genshin Impact, a new boss named Dendro Hypostasis has been introduced. This boss is crucial for ascending Nahida, the Dendro Archon of Sumeru. Unlike other Hypostasis bosses, the Dendro Hypostasis requires players to have a Dendro unit in their team. To make defeating the Dendro Hypostasis easier, this article has been updated by Nahda Nabiilah on July 29th, 2023. It now includes more visual instructions, including a video, to assist players in defeating this boss.

Dendro Hypostasis in Genshin Impact can only be attacked when it exposes its core (like typical Hypostasis).
When the boss' HP is fully depleted, it will go into a Cleansing State and bring forth three Restorative Piths. To activate these Piths, players must strike them with Dendro. Subsequently, players can enhance the activation of the Piths by using Electro, thereby increasing the recovery rate. Once the green bar beneath the boss' HP bar is completely filled, the Dendro Hypostasis will be vanquished.
With all three Piths fully activated, players have the option to expedite the process further by directly striking the Dendro Hypostasis. This technique proves particularly valuable when there is not an Electro unit within the team. Although it may not accelerate the progression as rapidly as the Piths, it will undoubtedly hasten it.
When activating the Restorative Piths, it is important to remember that the Dendro Hypostasis will launch a Dendro bomb towards the players. In the event that this bomb hits an activated Pith, it will become deactivated, requiring Travelers to reactivate it.
Furthermore, caution should be exercised when utilizing a Pyro character, particularly Hu Tao. By using Hu Tao's Blood Blossom ability, players may inflict Pyro damage on the Dendro Hypostasis while it is in a Cleansing State, triggering the Burning reaction.
This specific Dendro Elemental Reaction in the game Genshin Impact inflicts ongoing Pyro damage, thereby slightly hindering the boss's cleansing process. While the reduction is generally insignificant, it is still worth taking into account.
Team Recommendation For Dendro Hypostasis In Genshin Impact
To successfully defeat the Dendro Hypostasis in Genshin Impact, players must include a Dendro character in their team. It is recommended to choose a character that can consistently deal Dendro damage without cooldowns, such as Nahida, Baizhu, or Collei. Characters like Kaveh and the Dendro Traveler may not be as efficient for this task due to their limited ability to deal Dendro damage. Additionally, players may want to consider including an Electro character to expedite the cleansing process, although it is not essential like having a Dendro character.
When it comes to the DPS role, Electro characters are the most effective due to their ability to trigger Aggravate Reactions. However, players can also opt for any other character type as long as it is not Dendro.
To summarize, the players' team should have:
A Dendro enabler
An Electro DPS
A Sub-DPS or Support
Shielder or Healer
For instance, Travelers can try the following team comp for Dendro Hypostasis in Genshin Impact:
Nahida + Raiden Shogun + Kujou Sara + Yae Miko
Baizhu + Keqing + Fischl + Lisa
Nahida + Cyno + Kuki Shinobu + Yun Jin
Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
