Reviving Mayrina's husband in Baldur's Gate 3: Weighing the consequences of resurrection Are there valid reasons to let him rest in peace? Explore the outcomes of this moral dilemma

Finding and saving Mayrina in Baldur's Gate 3 is already challenging, but players are also tasked with saving her deceased husband, adding to the complexity. Mayrina is desperate and willing to accept any cure, but the individual responsible for this "cure" has a history of inflicting eternal punishment on those they claim to help.

In Baldur's Gate 3, there are multiple outcomes, none of which are ideal. This moral ambiguity is common in the game and contributes to its excitement. However, some players would prefer to have knowledge of the potential consequences before making choices involving the Bitter Divorce wand, rather than risking permanent decisions based on incomplete information.

This article divulges consequences within the game and reveals information the player's character may not know. Gamers committed to role-playing may wish to stop reading and find these things out for themselves.

Snapping the wand means Mayrina becomes enraged with the character and then goes back to Baldur's Gate to mourn. Conor stays dead.

If players point the wand at the coffin, Conor comes back as a zombie.

If players keep the wand, they get a temporary summoned minion to command in battle. Mayrina will also hate the player.

The wand can be given to Mayrina, enabling her to assist her husband in adapting to life in Baldur's Gate.

The community has conducted numerous experiments regarding this matter; however, regrettably, there is no singular perfect result. Various sorrowful outcomes exist, and it is left to the player to determine which sad ending is the most tolerable. After resolving the situation with Auntie Ethel, players are at least able to drink from the well. It is important to note that Conor, being a minion, is relatively simple to defeat, hence recruiting him in hope of a new party member is not advisable.

Baldur's Gate 3 is available now for PC. The PlayStation 5 version will be available on September 6th, 2023. A version for Xbox Series X/S is still in development.
