On the Tuesday, November 21 episode of Dancing With the Stars, the contestants proudly displayed their chosen Taylor Swift eras. The show began with professional dancers performing a fairy-tale-inspired routine to "Love Story (Taylor's Version)" choreographed by Mandy Moore, who had also worked with Swift on her Eras Tour. Before the contestants took the stage, Swift herself offered words of encouragement.
"Hello everyone, this is Taylor. I just wanted to express my heartfelt gratitude for featuring a night themed around me on Dancing With the Stars. I am excited to see the incredible choreography from your talented choreographers and my dear friend Mandy Moore. I truly wish I could be there." Alyson Hannigan, self-proclaimed biggest Swiftie, could hardly contain her excitement for the special episode.
"I heard there was going to be a Taylor Swift night and I thought, 'That's my dream. I have to go.' And here we are," the 49-year-old actress said excitedly, wearing her Eras Tour concert T-shirt. "My kids and I all love her music. Seeing her in concert was a special night for all three of us. She's the one artist we can play and never feel the need to change the song."
Although Hannigan didn't perform her "You Belong With Me" themed cha cha flawlessly, the judges recognized how much she embodied Swift's Fearless era.
"Wow, you clearly channeled Taylor Swift," judge Bruno Tonioli complimented Hannigan. "Your performance in the cha-cha for the romantic comedy was so captivating. You were completely immersed in it, my dear."
Following his previous week's placement in the bottom three, Jason Mraz showcased his Reputation era in a captivating Argentine tango performance to "Don't Blame Me."
"We need to bring the entire arena alive with this Argentine tango," the 46-year-old singer declared to his partner Daniella Karagach. "This is our chance for redemption. We aim to make the greatest comeback in Dancing With the Stars history."
And Mraz ultimately delivered, earning his first perfect score of the season.
“Simply flawless. Every move was executed perfectly,” Derek Hough raved before the pair’s scores were revealed. “The confidence you displayed from the very first moment when you spun her around, I was captivated the entire time. My man Jason Mraz is back!”
In addition to their initial dances, the contestants also participated in a dance relay for extra points on their overall score. Ariana Madix and Xochitl Gomez faced off with a Viennese waltz to “Lover” while Hannigan and Harry Jowsey danced a jive to “Shake It Off” and Mraz and Charity Lawson performed a cha-cha to “Lavender Haze.” Gomez, 17, Hannigan, and Mraz emerged victorious in their respective dances and added three points to their total score.
At the end of the evening, Jowsey, 26, and Rylee Arnold had the lowest score and were eliminated, just missing out on making it to the semi-finals.

During the November 21 episode of Dancing With the Stars, the contestants proudly revealed their favorite Taylor Swift eras. The show began with the professional dancers performing a fairy-tale-inspired routine to “Love Story (Taylor’s Version)” choreographed by Mandy Moore, who previously worked with Swift on her Eras Tour. Before the contestants took the stage, Swift herself offered words of encouragement for the dancers.
"Hello everyone, it's Taylor. I want to express my gratitude for organizing this me-themed night on Dancing With the Stars," the pop star expressed in a video message. "I am excited to see the incredible choreography by your talented choreographers and my friend Mandy Moore. I really wish I could be there."
Alyson Hannigan, self-proclaimed biggest Swiftie in the competition, was bursting with excitement to dance in the special episode.
“I heard they're planning a Taylor Swift night. I was like, oh, that's my dream. I have to be part of that. And here we are,” the 49-year-old actress said in a confessional while wearing her Eras Tour concert T-shirt. “My kids and I all love her music. The night we got to see her in concert was so special for all three of us. That's the one artist we can play and not be like, oh, change this song.”
Although Hannigan didn’t execute her “You Belong With Me” themed cha cha perfectly, the judges recognized how much she channeled Swift’s Fearless era.
"Oh my dear, it's clear that Taylor Swift inspired you," commented judge Bruno Tonioli to Hannigan. "I could see it in your promo for the romantic comedy when Alyson met Sasha in the cha-cha. You really got into it, moving through the dance with a lot of energy."
Jason Mraz, who had been in the bottom three the previous week, embraced the theme of Reputation as he performed the Argentine tango to "Don't Blame Me."
"We need to bring the entire arena to life with this Argentine tango," said the 46-year-old singer to his partner Daniella Karagach. "This is our chance for redemption. We must make the greatest comeback in Dancing With the Stars history."

Jowsey, 26, and Rylee Arnold were eliminated at the end of the evening, narrowly missing out on making it to the semi-finals with the lowest score.
"It's been an incredible journey. I'm amazed at how far we've come," Jowsey said, reflecting on his experience. "For Rylee's first season, it's been amazing to see her fulfilling her dreams."
