Dak Prescott and his girlfriend, Sarah Jane Ramos, recently became parents to their first child.

The 30-year-old Dallas Cowboys quarterback shared the news on Monday, March 4, announcing that he and 30-year-old Ramos had welcomed a baby girl named MJ in February.

"Yeah, I definitely feel different now. When you wake up in the morning and see that baby, you realize the responsibilities," Prescott shared with reporters during a Children’s Cancer Fund Gala in Texas. "It's like everything I've ever wanted for myself, but wanting it even more for someone else. It's a special feeling. Thankfully, everyone is healthy and at home. We feel truly blessed."

In a light-hearted manner, Prescott mentioned that he has already tackled a "handful" of dirty diapers. However, he jokingly expressed his hope to delegate that task whenever possible.

Ramos shared her pregnancy news in November with a series of black-and-white maternity photos on Instagram. She expressed her joy by calling her baby girl a "little bit of Heaven sent down to Earth" and described her as an immeasurable blessing. Ramos also mentioned her excitement to raise a strong, confident, and beautiful daughter with her partner.

In response to the news, Prescott expressed his excitement in the comments section. He shared his gratitude for being able to experience this journey with Ramos and emphasized that everything happens for a reason. Prescott reassured Ramos of his love and support, promising to always be there for her. He ended his message by expressing his eagerness to embark on this new chapter of parenthood together.

Reposting Ramos’ baby bump photos on his Instagram Story, Prescott expressed his excitement about becoming a father, mentioning that he felt “beyond blessed” and saying, “Girl dad incoming.”

In a later press conference, Prescott shared his thoughts on getting ready for parenthood for the first time. He mentioned feeling incredibly grateful for the opportunity to start a family and bring a child into the world. Reflecting on the importance of his own mother, who passed away from colon cancer in November 2013, he expressed his eagerness to experience that same bond in a new way.

Prescott and Ramos have already chosen a name for their baby girl, but they're keeping it a secret until her due date in March 2024. Prescott jokingly credited his recent success on the field to "dad strength."

Before announcing their pregnancy, Ramos and Prescott went public with their relationship a week earlier. Ramos shared Instagram photos of her birthday celebration with Prescott, expressing gratitude for her family and friends. She mentioned feeling blessed and excited for the new chapter ahead as she turned 30.

Prescott was drafted by the Cowboys in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He became the team’s starting quarterback later that year after his predecessor, Tony Romo, suffered an injury.

Prescott, for his part, commented, “So much to Love in this post! Welcome to 30 club, my love.”
