Daisy Kelliher and Colin MacRae from Below Deck Sailing Yacht are gradually improving their friendship, although they haven't completely resolved their issues. In a recent interview with BravoCon on Friday, November 3, Daisy expressed her concerns about encountering Colin at the Las Vegas event.
"I'm feeling quite nervous as it's our first encounter since the reunion, and we all witnessed how that turned out," the chief stew expressed. "So it wouldn't be honest if I didn't admit to feeling somewhat anxious. Nevertheless, I also feel a sense of happiness and gratitude to be present here and to have Colin by my side."
In the meantime, Colin appeared optimistic about repairing the divide between himself and Daisy.
"We were pulled in different directions at BravoCon, but we embraced. She reciprocated the hug," he revealed to Us. "We were good friends before things became complicated, so I believe we can easily rebuild that connection. Enough time has passed, so I was anxious about seeing her this morning, but we embraced and there are no hard feelings on my part."
In the fourth season of the popular Bravo Series, which aired earlier this summer, Colin, Daisy, and Gary King found themselves in conflict due to overlapping romantic encounters. Gary and Daisy had a relationship prior to stepping on board, a fact unknown to everyone else at the time. Daisy then grew closer to Colin during filming, but their romance faded once they left Parsifal III.
The three individuals made efforts to resolve their conflicts during the season 4 reunion, which was broadcasted on Bravo in July. Gary and Colin expressed that they were not completely dismissing the possibility of reconciling with one another, but they also suggested that the status of their individual relationships with Daisy was uncertain.
Daisy became emotional as she contemplated the possible end of her friendships with Colin and Gary. She expressed, "This is the consequence of being vulnerable. I deeply care for them both and they have taught me invaluable lessons about myself. I do have some regrets, but what truly matters is that I possess a kind heart and had genuine intentions. It is now time to move forward and upward."
The reality star mentioned that she has now found "closure" and has learned a valuable lesson regarding boatmances.
"The rule 'Don't screw the crew' definitely has a purpose," she explained to Us on Friday. "I believe I've also learned to acknowledge my emotions without being too harsh on myself, and to maintain a clear distinction between work and personal relationships. However, I don't think I'll ever become an expert at that."
Daisy stated that she would need to have a conversation with Colin and Gary to discuss what occurred at the reunion. She mentioned that the ending of those relationships was emotional and intense. Despite this, they have moved forward without any resentment. However, Daisy believes that recovering from the reunion will require a significant amount of time because hurtful things were said that cannot be undone.
Colin, when asked about the possibility of working with Daisy and Gary in the future, did not dismiss the idea.
"Daisy and Gary possess professionalism, and I believe that I too embody professionalism. If we were to collaborate in the future, I am confident that we would be able to set aside personal matters and focus on our work."
Gary, on the other hand, did not attend the Las Vegas event. Although initially included in the convention lineup when it was unveiled in August, Gary has since informed that he will not be present. This decision follows allegations of sexual misconduct made against Gary in a recent Rolling Stone exposé, which he vehemently denies.
Gary recently took a moment to reflect on his eventful journey onscreen alongside Daisy and Colin.
"Contrary to popular belief, I still maintain a friendship with both Colin and Daisy. Admittedly, the last season of #belowdecksailing was far from my finest. Upon watching certain episodes, it became clear to me that I have a lot of personal growth and improvement to strive for. I am committed to doing whatever it takes to become a better version of myself," he shared on Instagram. "To all those individuals who persistently leave negative comments and attempt to bring me down, I remain unaffected. Your words have no power over me. To all the people who support and send kind messages, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I genuinely appreciate it all. #notmybest #stillfriends #itsarealityshow #lovetothefans #hatetothehaters #belowdeck #bravotv #itsatvshow."
