Could a Dennis the Menace Remake Be Heading to Netflix in 2024?

Rumors swirl among Netflix users about a potential Dennis the Menace remake featuring the iconic Samuel L Jackson Is there any truth to the speculation surrounding this anticipated movie set to land on the streaming platform in 2024?

Netflix viewers are buzzing with rumors about a Netflix remake of Dennis the Menace featuring Samuel L. Jackson, set to release in 2024. But is there any truth to these rumors? Social media can be a tricky place, especially for those who are easily influenced. Although X/Twitter is taking steps to combat misinformation with community notes, Facebook seems to operate in a separate reality altogether.

Each week, fictitious movie and TV show posters gain widespread attention online, garnering thousands of shares and excited comments from fans who excitedly tag their loved ones. Examples include a sequel to The NeverEnding Story, Henry Cavill assuming the role of The Terminator, a horror movie based on Rob Zombie's Steamboat Willie, and a new sequel series to Honey We Shrunk the Kids featuring Rick Moranis – all of which are not genuine projects.

So, is the Dennis the Menace remake another fabricated concept, or is it legitimately in development for Netflix?

Is Dennis the Menace coming to Netflix in 2024?

No, a remake of Dennis the Menace isn’t coming to Netflix in 2024, nor is any such project in development.

This time, another culprit is responsible: Harold Rico Knight, who also led fans to believe that a Friday sequel called Straight Outta Rehab was being released on Netflix.

The "Notflix" production poster features a young boy dressed as Dennis with a slingshot in his pocket and Jackson sitting on the porch in the background, possibly as George Wilson. The actor portraying Dennis is listed as Kharter Rowser, though no such star is found in a Google search.

Knight's post about Jackson playing the role of George was shared over 10,000 times and received numerous comments, with many expressing eagerness or disappointment upon learning it is not real.

"I wish it was real, it looked like it would be a fantastic movie... there are a lot of little menaces out here," one person wrote. "This may be a joke, but don't be surprised if it actually becomes a reality. Hollywood is always on the lookout for ideas to capitalize on," commented another.

"This is brilliant! You should definitely trademark this idea! Hollywood might just go for it," a third person wrote. "Darn, I got excited for a moment. That's a remake I would actually watch," a fourth person commented.

Editor's P/S

As a Gen Z fan, I'm always excited about the possibility of new remakes and reboots of classic movies and TV shows. When I first heard the rumors about a potential Dennis the Menace remake featuring Samuel L. Jackson, I was thrilled. Dennis the Menace was a beloved character from my childhood, and I couldn't imagine anyone better than Jackson to bring him to life on the big screen.

However, my excitement was short-lived when I learned that the rumors were false. It's disappointing that someone would spread misinformation like this, especially when it gets so many people excited about something that isn't even real. I think it's important to be critical of the information we see online and to make sure it's from a credible source before we get too invested in it.
