The official Netflix release date for the sequel to The Seven Deadly Sins, Four Knights of the Apocalypse, has been announced. Based on Nakaba Suzuki's fantasy adventure manga series, the anime serves as a continuation of the original series.
Set in the European Middle Ages, the story takes place years after the disbanding of the Seven Deadly Sins. The new series follows Percival, a young boy who learns he is destined to join a group of knights prophesied to bring about the end of the world.
An anime adaptation of the popular manga was announced in May 2022. Produced by Telecom Animation Film and directed by Maki Odaira of Naruto: Shippunden, the series debuted in Japan in October 2023. Netflix recently announced that it had acquired international streaming rights.

For several years, Netflix has been the exclusive platform for The Seven Deadly Sins franchise. Therefore, it came as no shock when on November 19, 2023, Netflix revealed that they would be streaming The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse in January 2024.

What’s the plot of Four Knights of the Apocalypse?
The story is set in medieval Britannia after the disbanding of the infamous team of Holy Knights. It follows a young boy named Percival who is prophesied to become one of the Four Knights of the Apocalypse, a group destined to destroy the world. As Percival grows, he becomes the target of knights from Camelot ruled by a version of King Arthur Pendragon, unlike the one from the history books. He sets out to find the other members of the Four Knights of the Apocalypse: Lancelot, a Liones knight, and Ban, the former Holy Knight of Greed.
