Ciara Says Its Tough Trying to Lose 70 Pounds Postpartum

Ciara is opening up about the challenges of losing weight after giving birth. At 38 years old, the singer revealed her aim to shed 70 pounds following the arrival of her fourth child, Amora Princess Wilson, in December 2023. She described the process as "tough s—t" in a candid Instagram post.
Ciara shared her journey of trying to lose 70lbs post baby, preparing for a show and tour while breastfeeding, and running her businesses. In a shoutout to all the hardworking mothers out there, she expressed her admiration with the hashtag #MambaMentality, in honor of the late Kobe Bryant and his widow, Vanessa Bryant. Ciara wore a black Mamba-inspired Nike sweatshirt that reads “Tough S—t.”
In the photo, Ciara appears to be makeup-free and rocking braids. Her post quickly garnered support from her famous friends. Holly Robinson Peete commented, "If anyone can do it, it's you," while Gabrielle Union showed her support with arm muscle emojis.
Ciara and her husband, NFL quarterback Russell Wilson, have three children together. They have a daughter named Sienna Princess, who is 6 years old, and a son named Win Harrison, who is 3 years old. Ciara also has a son named Future Zahir, who is 9 years old, from a previous relationship with rapper Future.
Ciara has been open about embracing her postpartum body. Recently, she shared a video of herself wearing a stylish maroon swimsuit, just two months after giving birth to her daughter, Amora.

"Embrace every stage of life," she wrote as the caption for the video, which appeared to be taken during a vacation. Wilson, who is 35 years old, showed his love and admiration for his wife by commenting, "Beautiful Black Queen. I Love You."
Ciara and Wilson also made a glamorous appearance together on the red carpet at the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party on March 10. Ciara looked stunning in a sheer, form-fitting taupe gown. She later posted pictures from the event and captioned them with, "I Night Was Had…Vanity Fair. Oscars."
Ciara will be joining Missy Elliott, Busta Rhymes, and producer Timbaland on Elliott's Out of this World Tour. The tour will start on July 4 in Vancouver, BC, and end on August 22 in Rosemont, Illinois.
