According to David Eulitt/Getty Images and Amy Sussman/Getty Images, Chris Jones, a player for the Kansas City Chiefs, seems to possess privileged information regarding Taylor Swift's potential attendance at Travis Kelce's Monday Night Football game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Jones, 29, hinted on Thursday, November 16, that Swift, 33, will attend the Chiefs' game on Monday, November 20. "When she comes this Monday, we can all hang out," said the defensive lineman during an interview on The Rich Eisen Show. "I can't wait."
Jones, who plays on the same NFL team as Kelce, 34, unintentionally revealed this information while reminiscing about Swift's first Chiefs game in September. "The first time she came, she invited all of us for dinner," he remembered. "I was so exhausted since it was only my second game back. I decided to go home and rest in bed."
The NFL star denied refusing the offer when Kelce asked him to meet up with Swift after the Chiefs game against the Chicago Bears. Jones explained that he was simply too tired to go, stating, "I'm a Swiftie myself and I support the Swifties."
Jones mentioned that his favorite current track from the Grammy winner is "Karma," acknowledging that Swift recently altered the lyrics to include, "Karma is the guy on the Chiefs coming straight home to me," in relation to her new relationship.
Jones playfully remarked, "Seems like the sparks are flying between them, huh? I'm all for it! Travis Kelce, he's just such an endearing guy."
Kelce grabbed attention during the summer when he expressed his disappointment after missing an opportunity to gift Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number at her Eras Tour show in Kansas City. Several months later, Kelce shared that he had extended an invitation to Swift to watch him play, and much to his delight, she accepted on September 24.
Swift has been seen at numerous games supporting Kelce, sporting red or Chiefs accessories. A source shared that Travis and Taylor spend quality time together and have formed a genuine bond. They have made thorough plans to maintain their relationship while she goes on tour and he continues with his games.
Kelce was recently seen in Argentina supporting Swift during her South American Eras Tour. At the November 11 show, Swift gave Kelce a shout-out during “Karma” and they were later spotted kissing backstage.
As their relationship intensifies, an insider revealed that Swift and Kelce are eager for their parents to meet. Taylor's parents, Andrea and Scott Swift, are planning to meet Travis' parents, Donna and Ed Kelce, for the first time at the Monday NFL game, according to a source on Wednesday, November 15.
The game will be a rematch from Super Bowl LVII, in which Travis’ Chiefs beat his brother, Jason Kelce, and the Eagles. Jason, 36, plays center for the Philadelphia team.
