Chris Harrison and Lauren Zima Tie the Knot After 5 Years of Courtship

Chris Harrison, beloved former 'Bachelor' host, joyfully marries his fiancée, Lauren Zima, after a blissful five-year courtship The couple's engagement in October 2021 culminates in a celebration of love and commitment

Chris Harrison, the former host of The Bachelor, married his fiancée Lauren Zima after being together for three years. The couple exchanged vows at a wedding ceremony in Napa Valley, California, on October 14. They then held a grand reception in Austin, Texas, on Saturday, November 4. People magazine has reported all these details.

In October 2021, the former participant of Bachelor Nation expressed his confirmation of getting engaged to the well-known Entertainment Tonight personality on Instagram. Harrison posted a photo of himself proposing and wrote, "I love you @laurenzima. The next chapter of our lives begins now!"

In another photo, the couple can be seen toasting with champagne glasses while the woman, who is from Illinois, proudly showcases her new diamond ring. Zima, addressing the special moment on her Instagram, wrote, "We often express our love for each other, and we did it once again in an exceptionally beautiful moment this weekend. I had no idea that love could feel this way. You are an extraordinary partner. Thank you for loving me, supporting me, and asking me to marry you. Cheers to the next incredible chapter and all that awaits us."

In an exclusive interview with Us, Harrison expressed his immense happiness after proposing. He excitedly recounted the details of their incredibly romantic weekend getaway, and went on to disclose that he had proposed to the entertainment reporter in Napa Valley at Brand Vineyard, a spot of great significance to both of them.

The couple initiated their relationship in 2018 and officially confirmed their romantic involvement at a pre-Screen Actors Guild Party in January 2019. Zima, during an episode of "The Viall Files" with Nick Viall in July 2019, disclosed that she took the initiative in pursuing the Texan native.

"I actually sent him a direct message," she confessed. "I sensed a different energy from him... It was quite obvious. He mentioned something about his responsibilities with his children, which somehow led to the topic of being single. I then casually mentioned that I was single too, and he seemed surprised. But I phrased it in a more sophisticated way. Oh, I don't know. Somehow we exchanged this message... I opened the door, and he took the opportunity."

After initiating contact with Harrison through direct messages, Zima and he decided to meet up for a drink, which led Zima to see the reality TV personality in a different light. During her conversation with Viall, she clarified that although her perception didn't change negatively, she had never considered Harrison's attractiveness before.

Speculations about a potential engagement between the couple started circulating in April after Harrison shared an Instagram photo of his fiancée wearing a white dress.

"I would freeze time and embrace the world with you, @laurenzima. There is no one else I would prefer to rejoice in love with, and I am always ready to accompany you as your plus one," he wrote in the caption accompanying the photo.

Harrison swiftly dismissed the confusion that arose among fans due to his candid social media statement, stating, "It's incredible how attending a single wedding together and participating in a chicken dance can cause people to assume we are married! Nevertheless, I must admit, I truly adore this bridesmaid️."

Harrison, who was dismissed from the Bachelor franchise for supporting season 25 contestant Rachael Kirkconnell's racially offensive remarks, was formerly wedded to his college sweetheart, Gwen Harrison. Following 18 years of matrimony, the former couple, who have a son named Joshua, aged 19, and a daughter named Taylor, aged 16, separated in 2012.
