I was delighted to witness Elizabeth Banks taking charge and doing what she did, which was enjoyable. There is often talk about that. I am eager to discuss the possibility of a sequel with Drew, Cameron, and Lucy, but at the same time, I am willing to pass on the responsibility. I adore the Tim Burton Batman movies and the new Batman movies. It's like having someone who carries the legacy and can pass on the torch.

Who knows? Perhaps we still have one more story in us that would captivate the audience if the opportunity arises. I have immense affection for all three of them. They played a crucial role in my career growth. They supported me when I was a novice filmmaker, even when I faced the risk of being fired multiple times. Drew stood up for me, and I will forever be grateful to her. And of course, those three individuals are truly one of a kind. They are irreplaceable.

Originally intended as a complete revamp of the series, Banks' film surprised viewers by revealing itself as a loosely connected sequel set in the same universe as both McG's movies and the original TV series. The Los Angeles office of the Townsend Agency also showcased photographs of Jaclyn Smith reprising her role as Kelly Garrett, alongside her co-stars Kate Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, Cheryl Ladd, Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, and Lucy Liu. As a nod to McG's films, the 2019 Charlie's Angels movie also incorporated several costumes as Easter eggs.
