Celebrities such as Carrie Underwood and Ellen DeGeneres made sure to make their furry companions feel like a part of the family on their special day as they prepared to say their vows.
Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi got married in 2008 in a backyard ceremony. Their two rescues, Mabel and Wolf, were the guests of honor. They have also adopted a dog named Augie and cats named Charlie, George, and Chairman.
Carrie Underwood included her dog Ace in her wedding to hockey star Mike Fisher in July 2010, two years later.
“He’ll be one of the ring bearers,” Underwood said ahead of the big day. “He’s like my kid.”

Over the years, the couple has expanded their furry family by adopting a dog named Augie, along with cats Charlie, George, and Chairman.
Two years later, Underwood decided to include her dog Ace in her wedding to hockey player Mike Fisher in July 2010.
Before the wedding, Underwood shared that Ace would have a special role as one of the ring bearers. She described him as being like her own child.
