Crystal Minkoff's decision to leave The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills served as a reminder that celebrities are also fans of Bravo. Octavia Spencer and Paula Abdul, among others, shared their reactions to the news of her departure.
" You'll be missed!" Spencer expressed, while Abdul complimented Crystal as "so beautiful" during the casting shakeup. Crystal herself took to Instagram on Monday, April 15, to announce her departure from the reality TV show after three seasons.
"I just wanted to let you all know that I won't be returning to film season 14 of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. It's a bit bittersweet," she shared in a video post. "I never imagined I would be asked to be on the show, let alone film it for three seasons. Each year I was invited back, it truly felt like a blessing and an honor."
Crystal acknowledged that being the first Asian American on RHOBH brought "a lot of pressure" with it.
"I have come to truly understand the impact of that experience on people," she said. "I want to express my gratitude to all of you for being such amazing support for me. I hope that I have also been a source of support for you by sharing my story about my eating disorder, as well as stories about my father and his battle with Alzheimer's. I have been touched by the incredible stories that you have shared with me."
In a post on her social media, Crystal made it clear that she was not bidding farewell, but rather saying "see you soon."
I have some exciting news to share with you soon that will allow me to continue connecting with all of you, which has been the most rewarding part of filming for me. This show has provided a platform for so many of you to share your beautiful stories," she expressed. "I am grateful for all the love and support from everyone. Each one of you has a unique story to share, and I hope you all get the chance to do so one day.
