In Modern Warfare 3's tenth mission, players will assume the role of Task Force 141 member Gaz as they work to accomplish objectives. With the guidance of Captain Price, the duo will launch an attack on a Russian safe house, navigating their way through a towering building.

At the beginning of the mission, players have the opportunity to earn a trophy (for PlayStation users) or an achievement (for PC or Xbox users) known as the Elevator Out of Order Achievement/Trophy. To claim this accolade, players must race to the rooftop within 45 seconds from the mission's start. However, before reaching the rooftop, players will need to locate an ascender device to swiftly bypass the barricades of enemy platoons scattered throughout the high-rise.

Finding the Ascender in Highrise in MW3

Players will initially need to take the longer path to reach the roof by exploring the building in search of the ascender. As Gaz, players will begin on the first floor and must successfully navigate to the eleventh floor. Commence by ascending the ladders within the elevator shaft until reaching the fifth floor.

Engage in combat on the fifth floor, proceed down the hallway, and ascend the staircase to reach the sixth floor. Battle through the hallway on the sixth floor and proceed to the end of the corridor to access the stairs leading to the seventh floor.

Players will be unable to use the stairs as they will be obstructed, instead, they must exit through the window and make their way to the roof platforms and scaffolding. Ascend along the metal railing towards the left to access the windows and re-enter the building, eliminating all adversaries on this particular level.

Once the enemies have been defeated, players can proceed by going through the opening in the ceiling and ascending to the eighth floor. In the main area of the eighth floor, there is a conveniently placed ladder that allows players to effortlessly access the ninth floor.

Head to the balcony on the ninth floor and ascend the boxes on the left side. Follow the yellow tarps along the exterior of the building. To progress, jump across the gap to reach the adjacent balcony and keep following the path indicated by the yellow tarps, which will lead you up the metal ramps.

Re-enter the window located at the peak of the scaffolding ramp and access the stairwell situated between the tenth and eleventh floors. Ascend the partial set of stairs to reach the eleventh floor.

Elevator Out of Order

Players should advance through the eleventh floor by traversing the main hallway. They should continue along the hall as it bends to the right. Upon reaching the end of this hallway stretch, an open window will be visible, along with an open supply crate positioned to the right by the stairs. Inside the crate, players will discover the ascender. By obtaining the ascender, players have the ability to restart the mission, thereby resetting the clock and swiftly returning to the roof in less than 45 seconds.

To earn the trophy or achievement "Elevator Out of Order," players must reach the roof within 45 seconds using the ascender. Begin the mission and immediately make your way to the elevator shaft. Utilize the ascender to swiftly ascend the line.

Fight your way to the end of the hall on the fifth floor, just like before. However, this time, instead of taking the stairs, go up the staircase at the end of the hall to reach the eleventh floor. This shortcut will lead players to the ascender. Take the line that goes out the window onto the scaffolding and continue moving forward towards the next zipline, but do not use it.

On the next platform, players will encounter enemies that they should deal with before crossing the zipline. Keep in mind that the platform you are currently on is considered the roof, and players have already completed the necessary task for the trophy/achievement. If players make a quick progress through the fifth floor, they can easily reach the roof within 15-20 seconds once they have obtained the ascender.

Now that players have the achievement/trophy unlocked, they can continue the objective of the Highrise mission.
