Caitlin Clark became the first basketball player to be dressed by Prada at the 2024 WNBA draft on Monday, April 15. The 22-year-old college basketball star made fashion history by wearing a white mini skirt and matching jacket on the "orange carpet" before the draft. She completed her look with a bedazzled crop top and black pointed heels for a touch of contrast to her monochromatic outfit.

Clark looked stylish with a small Prada bag and rose-tinted sunglasses, her long brunette hair flowing down and tucked behind her ears.

In a video shared on her Instagram Story, she mentioned, "[I’m wearing] all Prada, I don’t think Prada’s ever fitted an NBA or WNBA player before. It’s pretty special and I’m excited."

Clark, a senior, announced in February her plan to enter the WNBA Draft after the 2023-24 college season. Despite the Hawkeyes' loss to the South Carolina Gamecocks in the NCAA championship game earlier this month, Clark still has one year of college eligibility remaining thanks to the NCAA's "COVID year" granted to student-athletes in 2020-21. Having led Iowa to the National Championship Game in both her junior and senior seasons, as well as breaking the women's college basketball all-time scoring record, Clark expressed readiness for the next chapter in her career.

"I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported me during my time at Iowa," Clark shared through X. "My teammates have truly made the last four years the best; my coaches, trainers, and staff have always allowed me to be myself; the Hawkeye fans who pack [Carver-Hawkeye Arena] every night; and all the supporters who traveled across the country, especially the young kids."

In closing, she added, "Most importantly, none of this would have been possible without my family and friends who have stood by me through it all. It is because of you that my dreams have become a reality."
