Iowa Hawkeyes standout guard Caitlin Clark made history on Sunday by becoming the NCAA's all-time leading scorer in basketball, surpassing Hall of Famer "Pistol" Pete Maravich. She achieved this milestone during the game against the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Clark went into the game needing 18 points to surpass Maravich's record of 3,667 points.
She made a new record by scoring two free throws right before the first half ended. During a quick interview at halftime, she mentioned that she wasn't thinking about breaking the record at that moment.
"I wasn't really thinking about it, but when they announced it and everyone cheered, that's when I realized," she explained.
The Hawkeyes’ final regular season game is still on-going.
